DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poorly made i originally posted this review about am month ago, and it was somehow relocated to the older version of the simul pants. i bought this newer version and after two weeks, the glued on external pocket started peeling off. i was surprised to see that patagonia was relying on a low-quality adhesive to keep the pockets stuck to the pants. huge disappointment. failed immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing I purchased these pants a couple of months ago. I have worn them to run, bike, and hike with temps mostly in the 30s and 40s. They are very comfortable and they perform incredibly. I will definitely purchase another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants-tight on big build These pants are great. They climb very well, are seasonably warm and weather resistant and look fantastic. I’m a big guy, 6’2” 210lb, with an athletic build and always struggle to find pants that fit around my legs and calves while fitting the waist. I got the 34 and they are just a little loose on the waist but tight on my legs. Still great for climbing and hiking but not usable backcountry skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable pants, solid fit These were exactly as expected. They can even be worn as casual weekend pants - not just in the snow. Great find!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible pant Just finished wearing these pants on a 7 day backcountry trip. Wore them every day and didn't think about them once. They never rode wrong, limited movement or were anything but comfortable. They're quiet, they have the right amount of pockets to know where everything is without searching. They were comfortable from the mid 80s to low 30s with nothing more than a merino wool boxer brief. Very happy with my purchase.

Are these the newest version with no belt loops?

Asked by: reginald
Hiya reginald, thanks for your question! This pant has belt loops. The new Men's RPS Rock Pant does not have belt loops. Perhaps you are thinking of that pant instead. Hope this helps!
