Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super cold weather pant Just love these pants for under shell pants on a really cold ski day or for walking the dog in the winter. I actually bought them for winter/fall/early spring fishing, but they have already earned their somewhat hefty price. They are lightweight, very packable, and comfortable. I am female - 5'6", 118 lbs with a very slim build, and the x were perfect. My husband liked them so much, I ordered a pair for him. However, Patagonia's sizing here is strange - the large were laughably large on him, and the medium, though it looked like a good fit, would not allow for the bending and movement he would need for layering and wading rocky rivers (5'10" -170 lbs.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uninimpressive product I have to say, I was way underwhelmed by this product, based on Patagonia's reputation and the reviews on this. I found these pants less warm than I expected, for a pair of pants with 60g of Primaloft they felt more like they only had 40g in them. I bought these to largely walk my dog in temps between 15/20 degrees and 40 degrees, and occasionally snow snowshoeing in. Fit was poor. I'm 6'3", 200lbs with a 33" waist and hem length, and figuring I'd wear these over a pair of long underwear, first bought the mediums. They were a bit too snug in the waist, and definitely too much in the crotch and across the hips, but fit well elsewhere - so I returned them for a large. The large was a wee bit too big in the waist, and felt like was I was wearing a giant pair of clown pants elsewhere in the legs, ballooning out ridiculously in the butt, thighs and hips, enough so you could put two of my thighs in each the pant legs - which is bizarre, considering I have mountain biker thighs, so they aren't small by any means. To my mind the fit on these is absurdly designed for an athletic pair of pants in general, but specifically considering these were designed be worn under waders. It's too bad because the other aspects of these pants are good. They have perfect length, even for taller folk, and don't have massively oversized cuffs, so they fit over a normal pair of winter or hiking boots without lots of excess room, and have good size front pockets, and the zip rear pocket, with the reinforced seat. I also liked the semi-elastic waist, with a solidly-sewn button and zipper on front, with belt loops so you can wear a light web belt to cinch it tighter if need be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, packable, warm Warmer then I expected, very light, pretty packable also. Have not tested the DwR, but don’t plan to. Going on all my winter backpack trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I just used these on a wildlife photography trip to Northern Minnesota in Jan. Temps averaged -25 deg F in the morning. These pants with a very light snow pant shell and I was very comfortable. They're very light weight and you barely notice them when you're walking. I also do fly fishing from a tube and look forward to trying them out for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, light, pack small, durable and comfortable! Purchased these pants to take along on a winter AT section hike. They were durable enough to wear on the trail, yet would pack up small into the backpack when the temps warmed up. When night temps dropped into the teens they were comfortable enough to sleep in and increase the warmth in my mummy bag. Very pleased with these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the warm. Maybe the warmest. I wanted warm. I wanted light. But I didn't want down. Like Tony the Tiger says, these are GREAT! At around 30 degrees I'm comfortable in just these and lightweight Capilene.

How do you laundry these nano pants? The label inside doesn't say!

Asked by: Timothy
Hey Timothy! They only use icons these days on the labels, so you may have missed them. But I brought you Patagonia's complete care instructions: In short, only wash when absolutely necessary. Avoid using a top load or washing machine that has an agitator. Also avoid fabric softeners. Line dry the pants.

I'm 6' 2" tall and I wear a 32" waist, I'm just concerned these pants won't be long enough. I'm looking at purchasing the mediums. Anyone over 6' have these pants?

Asked by: Joseph
Hello, Joseph! Aren't you a tall drink of.. I digress. To the pants and your pressing question. Will these work for you at 6'2"? First: I found out that the medium (which is what you would get due to your waist) has an inseam of 32". That being said, I did a little digging because there are no tall people here at the Keebler Tree for logistical reasons. Word on the street (or in the search results) these pants and tall people = awkward rising when sitting. Seems the pants rise up by 6 inches when you sit! Now, I am not one to judge a person's personal style and maybe you like the idea of some Urkel like pants, but these might not be the right fit for you.
