DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Awesome pants. The double front material is tough without being too heavy and hot. A good replacement for my old rock guide pants that are no longer being made. Very similar in fit but more durable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best pants I have ever used for guiding!! I have used this particular Patagonia pant model for the past 4 years. I own and operate a inshore fishing charter business in South Louisiana. I put these things threw the ringer fishing upwards of 150 days a year, exposing them to salt water, harsh chemicals when washing the boat, sharp hooks flying around the boat and all they do is comeback for more. The DWR finish repels water reasonably well but the reinforced panels on the pants is where they shine above all the others I have tried. The little bit of stretch the material provides make them extremely comfortable. Again, the ONLY pants I wear when I am running charters....I have 6 pair. Great product by a great company:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! Used them for three days of winter elk hunting and they worked great! Had a blizzard one day and they never got wet like my upper body layers. Stayed super dry and warm but would use them for the summer climbing or hiking as well!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit well, though not what I thought These pants fit well and I like all the pockets. However, I thought they were field pants for hunting through thorns and brush but these are too light duty for that use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pants. Loose fit Good pants. They have elastic in the waist. Very loose fit. I wear a 32/33 normally but need a belt with this pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable ! Quality ! Great Moosejaw Experience Great fit ... usually take an XL but found that a L in this pant was the right choice - Q & A with MJ staff steered me to this size...which was spot-on. Will be perfect for bushwhacking and trails in the south this fall and winter.

The product specs say this is an insulated pant... but Patagonias specs don't mention that at all. Is this an insulated pant?

Asked by: botast
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I grabbed a pair from our warehouse to double-check! The Patagonia Field Pants are NOT insulated! I'll let my Bug Content team know and you should see the update shortly. Thanks again!

Are these pants lined? Are they warm enough for cold weather alone.

Asked by: Hatter
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! So...uh, interesting question. Why would you want lime in your pants? I guess having pants that in some resemble 7up would be.....uh.............huh. Ok. I see where I went wrong. I apologize. So, I double checked these and, in fact, they are NOT lined. For colder weather, I'd suggest getting some long underwear under there or some base layers. Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.

Are the actual measurements available anywhere? I expect that I need an XS but don't want them to be too long. I need a 29 waist and 26 inseam. I can get them shortened, but what is the actual waist size and length?

Asked by: Micklethwaite
Hiya! The actual waist measurement on the XS is 29" and the Small is 30". The inseam for both is 31". Enjoy!

What are the waist specs. on the L and XL.??? Inseam too.?  I need a 37 waist....

Asked by: rabbitcom1
Hiya, thanks for your question! The waist on size Large measures 36 inches and the size XL measures 39 inches. All the sizes have elastic on the sides for comfort and sizing flexibility. A 37 inch waist would probably fit a size Large with the elastic extended. The inseam is 33 inches on both sizes. Hope this helps!

My waist size is 34 or maybe as large as 35. What size do you recommend for me?

Asked by: Webtoes
Hiya Webtoes, thanks for your question! Size large is for a 34 to 36" waist, so I would go with a large. Hope this helps!
