The Patagonia Boys' Fresh Tracks Jacket pairs a waterproof shell with hydrophobic insulation to create an all-in-one snowsports solution. The 2-layer seam-sealed H2No® shell keeps moisture out, and Thermogreen insulation keeps warmth trapped where it needs to be, even in wet conditions. This fully-featured ski and snowboarding jacket includes a built-in powder skirt, helmet compatible hood, and stretchy thumbhole cuffs to prevent wind and snow from sneaking up their sleeves. Oh, speaking of sleeves, they allow for 2 inches of adjustability for growing boys.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Son loves it! Son has been skiing in it, as well as the insulated snowshot pants, since Thanksgiving. Conditions have been everything from Spring like down to 4 degrees at the base. On the warmer days he wears only a baselayer and on the colder days he wears the baselayer plus a thin midlayer -- this has worked well without any complaints of being too cold or hot. We did notice there is a shade of difference in color between the fresh track jacket and the snowshot pants despite them appearing to be the same color online. That being said, my son doesnt even notice it and he loves his new ski outfit. He should be able to get 2 seasons out of it and then it will go to my younger one, probably also 2 seasons for him as well.
