Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice hat, but the Large fits small I bought this because I love the style as a forester in the upper midwest. I'm a pretty small framed dude (5'11" 150 lbs) and have never bought anything bigger than a size Large, but the Large size of this hat was too small for me. I measured my hat size and am around 22 7/8" diam or size 7 1/2 which is normally a Large. But again, the L was a bit too tight for comfort. I'm returning my L and if I ever see an XL around I'll probably get that cuz it is a neat hat. Just weird because I've never bought an XL anything before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Winter Hat I live in Alaska and in the deep winter had to double up on pullover hats because one just wasn't enough to keep my head warm. This hat is perfect. I wear it anytime it's super cold and my bald noggin stays toasty warm. I even waterproofed it with a silicone spray so that when I hang it up in the cabin the melting snow piled on top of it doesn't make the hat wet. Thanks OR and Moosejaw for this great piece of 'kit'

I love how it feels like a soft and warm kitten just laid down on top of my head. Foldable brim and light weight make it easy to bring in my backpack. Extendable ear flaps makes it really versatile. I am a warm and sweaty person, still it feels breathable and stays warm and dry all day. I got it for approx 20€ from Outnorth in Norway, which is a steal! Its great for both outdoor and casual use. Thanks O.R. for this well thought out product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met Expectations I have not worn this in winter yet, but I think it is going to work well. I wear a 7 1/4 baseball hat and the Medium was a perfect fit. The ear flaps appear to be pretty functional to move up and down as needed and the entire interior of the hat has fleece lining. It looks like it will be nice and warm, can't wait for our first Wisconsin snowfall to give it a try shoveling the driveway or cross country skiing.

What size for a women? I'm thinking small unless it's adjustable?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The Outdoor Research Yukon Cap is not adjustable so its best to order the size that's closest to your head circumference measurement: Small ~ 21 1/2in - 22in Medium ~ 22 1/4in - 22 7/8in Large ~ 23in - 23 5/8in XLarge ~ 23 7/8in - 24in I hope this helps

Will your xl hats fit a 25” head

How does this hat hold up to washing? I've had hats before with similar washing directions that turn to frumpy garbage when washed so I'm a bit nervous about this one.

Hey there, thanks for your question. Because of the structure of the brim I wouldn't recommend throwing this in a machine to wash it or it might come out crumpled. That being said, hand washing with a mild detergent goes a long way for hats like this. I hope this helps!

Is Peat Herringbone a light grey? It looks sort of greenish in the image.

Hiya, thanks for your question! The Peat Herringbone is definitely green and grey. The ear flaps are grey and the piping is green. I would consider it a green hat. Hope this helps!

Does the black earth have any shades of blue in it?

Thanks for reaching out! We grabbed one of these to check for ourselves. There is a slight bluish-grey tint to it. This could vary based on lighting. I personally see more Grey than Blue. My co-worker sees hints of Blue. If you decide to give this Hat a try and it doesn't won't work for you, just let us know and we will help facilitate a return. I hope this helps a little.
