Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs thumbholes!!! Love this shirt for it's sun coverage, and an easy piece to use for Glacier travel and rock climbing adventures. The hood is great, it is breathable for hot days, but still keeps the sun off. After many uses and buying a second one, I have two main qualms with this shirt- 1. NO THUMBHOLES. The weird little fold over sleeves don't help when you are trying to hold an ice axe or poles while hiking. Because of this, I have burnt my hands a number of times. 2. Better colors. I want bring colors in the wildernesfor safety and visibility. So far this shirt hasn't really come in any bright colors, and comes in more dark colors than anything else. Would love some bright options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for sunny climbs I have worn this hoodie 6 days out of the past 2 weeks climbing in the hot sun and it is great. It fits a bit snug over my helmet, but remains comfortable. It feels cooler than climbing in a tank top, and I don't have to worry about sunburns. At first I thought the ponytail hole in the hood was a bit gimmicky, but after getting my hair off my sweaty neck while keeping my neck protected from the sun I am a believer! I am a medium in all other OR tops and this top fit true to size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Option I've used this shirt both hiking and biking. It does a great job at keeping the sun off without getting too warm. Super light weight. I do sometimes find the hood falls back a little, causing the high neck to ride up a bit, but this is a minor concern for an otherwise great shirt. I would imagine the hood becomes more useful in the evening when bugs start to come out, leaving very little skin exposed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Sun Shirt option Good sun shirt, decent colour. The shirt looks good with my beige field pants, but I would appreciate brighter colours in all the female options! I appreciate that this shirt seems much more movement friendly than button-up sun shirts making it a great active option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light, the ponytail hole is genius Not new to long sleeve sun shirts but new to the hooded variety. This is the second brand I've tried. The material is very, very light and the breezes (if there are any) go right through it. That does reduce the SPF factor but on a hot endeavor, it might be worth it. I'm not 100% on the "fold over cuffs" because they are not long enough for my long arms to be useful. I would have to make a fist, basically, for them to cover my hands, BUT, I can pull the sleeves down to at least cover to my knuckles if I need to. The fabric, as stated, is super light and I will have to see if it can stand the test of time with pack straps, wear and tear for multiple days of use. One thing I love is the ponytail hole in the hood. OR must have had a women with long hair involved in this design because it's pure genius (and not something most guys would think about). It seems like a little thing but it's just genius if you don't want sweaty, hot hair stuck to your neck under the hood. I liked it on my first hike (6 miles, steep hills and fully exposed/no shade in hot weather) and have already ordered a second one. The one thing I will say to OR is PLEASE, GET BETTER COLORS! Too many dark colors... :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great top! Works exactly as advertised, this is going to be my new go-to work out top! Keeps you insulated if it's a chilly day, and actually cools if on the warm side. Love it, this is actually my 2nd, i loved the first one so much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for milder days! Perfect for days that are too warm for a coat yet too cool for short sleeves. Nice and light weight but tends to snag easily when the bush gets thicker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I. LOVE. THIS. HOODIE. I wear this hoodie on just about EVERY outdoor adventure. It is the PERFECT combination of a great baselayer, breathable sun protection, and stretchy coverage designed to handle anything you throw at it.... plus it doesn't retain gross smells (even after non-stop wear on a 165-mile backpacking trip, it came out of the wash clean, stain-free, and smelling fresh as the day I bought it). I am OBSESSED with this hoodie, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE offer it in more BRIGHT colors! The colorways with darker side panels aren't as flattering as the solid colors, and as someone who has too much black/grey/pewter blue gear already, I'm looking for baselayers that really "pop" for easy identification when I'm digging through a pack full of black and gray gear. Would love to see a lime green, electric blue, or bright yellow option in addition to the orange (I already own that one and get called out for wearing it in literally every picture of me in the backcountry hahah!). But as far as form, fit, and function - this is the BEST PURCHASE I've ever made when it comes to outdoor apparel.
