Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Crag Pants These things feel and climb awesome, a nice break from the typical stretch soft shell climbing pants. Perfect for the crag, even on the hottest days! This aren't going to feel great if there's any sort of precip, but that's really not what they're meant for anyway! These are my new go-to rock pants. Cool, lightweight, durable, with perfectly subtle design features. Well done, OR!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wa-di you not have these pants yet? These pants are truly excellent. Well-designed with excellent climbing-focused materials and features that hold up to abuse (crag and gym) and yet still look good enough to impress the bosses at your hip startup. OR thought through all the fit features except one: They nailed the gusseted crotch and articulated knees and the overall cut is amazing - even for a mega-thighed-but-otherwise-average-build guy like myself. The one issue I have with these pants is that hand pockets: they seem to be either too big at the opening or sewn a little strange so the pocket doesn't lay smooth and flat against the rest of the pant. Not so bad that you look dumb (kind of important) or that anything falls out while cruising around (more important), but enough that it lays weird while walking and sitting and when you toss on a belt it accentuates the pucker a little. Seems like it could be a sewing issue, but it's the same on both sides on the 2 different pairs I ordered - minor flaw with low consequence. Also, it would be really nice if one of the rear pockets was zippered. Climbing with a phone (aka, camera) on my thigh is awkward sometimes, it'd be nice to have it in the back as well. Bottom line: great pant, great fit, robust and comfortable, not too hot and not skimping on anything that we climbers usually whine about.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible sizing- legs skin tight, waist too big I really wanted to like these pants, and they have a lot of things going for them- nice material, looks good, decent number of pockets. And I love pants that have both belt loops and a drawstring. But the sizing is ridiculous. I ordered the 32", short inseam. First of all the waist is way too big, more like 34". I measured my waist to be sure, and my waist is pretty much exactly 32", and there is indeed 2" of extra fabric at the waist. The waist is also 1-2" bigger than most other 32" pants I have, so the sizing is off even by industry standard. More critically, the legs are way too tight. At the calves, knees, and lower thighs, these are practically skin-tight. When you stand up with your legs straight, the fit it merely snug, but as soon as you bend your knees or sit down, it becomes skin-tight in these areas. So tight that when I bend my knees or high-step, the pants ride up several inches and can't slide back down afterwards, and look and feel ridiculous. Any articulation doesn't help at all. The only place the legs are reasonable is at the upper thighs. How such tight pants could be presumably designed for athletic people and especially for climbing is hard to imagine- these fit like skinny jeans. It's as if these were designed for hipsters with no leg muscles who yet are self-conscious about their waist size.. If it was just the waist size, I would get a smaller size or have them tailored, but the skin-tight legs render these are highly uncomfortable and unwearable, and I will be returning them. I hope OR will redesign these pants with a more reasonable fit and an accurate waist size, and then I'd love to give them another try. Until then, unless you have unusually skinny legs and can order down a size for the waist, I highly recommend avoiding these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They move easier than I do When I first put these on I was amazed at how comfortable they are, very quickly these became my go to pants for everything from hiking to canoeing to going to the store with the family. They are very comfortable to travel in as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another fantastic product by OR These are great pants. I haven't had much success with some OR pants in terms of style and fit (e.g., their jeans) but these fit very well (similar to the Fer. Crag Pants). They are stylish and perfect for everyday wear, travel, or hiking (I don't climb). There is a bit of stretch, which I have come to like as I age! Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great potential, Terrible sizing Loved the material. However, the sizing is a bit ridiculous. Waist is way too big, like maybe 2" larger than other pants I own in the same size. Legs are very tight, almost like skinny jean style. Pockets are a bit strange as well, very large openings but not very deep. The thigh/side pocket is also in an unusual spot, directly on top of the thigh instead of on the side which doesn't really accomodate anything large while moving around a lot (i.e. smart phone).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants that run large These things were made for desert rock climbing. With temperatures getting close to 100 I have managed to stay comfortable in them without over heating. I haven't wanted to take them off. The only down side for me is they fit pretty large but with the interior tie or a belt they fit alright. The only other complain is the hand pockets don't lie flat which makes them seem a little messy when going out but when you're climbing up desert towers in them like they are meant for who really cares?
