I use this for winter bike commuting and it works incredibly well. Rarely am I too hot or not warm enough. Blocks the wind and has a long enough torso and arms so that it doesn't leave any exposed spots while in a riding position. Sharp look for casual use too.

The insulation stands up to temps in the 20’s and slightly below with a few layers underneath. I’m a tall skinny guy- 6’3” & 170 pounds, the medium size is form fitting but allows room for things underneath it. The deep interior pockets and thumb loops are welcome conveniences and the hood is the perfect size to cover a beanie without being awkwardly large. This is my first jacket from OR and I will definitely be purchasing another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty great jacket Had this jacket about two weeks, it’s plenty warm and the outer fabric sheds light rain and snow no problem. I’m 6’, 200lbs and a large fits well. There is a slight stretch to the fabric but nothing crazy. Hood fits good but I doubt it would fit over a ski helmet. Happy with this jacket, and digging the tapenade color. My wife says I look handsome in it, what’s not to like

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean. Simple. Great zippers I bought this as a light synth mid layer. Previously owned the Arcteryx Atom LT. This Shadow jacket is my new favorite insulation layer. The zippers hold in place during activity. All the technical features you'd expect for a performance jacket. Went skiing/snowshoeing in Northern Montana for 10 days, 20° to 32° most days. Lots of wind and snow at top of mountain. Jacket looks great for heading into town for a nice meal too.
