Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I wanted them to be General: Tried a pair of these as a loaner fro OR vendor at 2017 Icefest in NH. Two hours into the climb I was done with them My fingers were froze out, Changed over to a pair of my own OR gloves and finished the route. Fit: No problems here. Honestly I was quite disappointed as I wanted to buy these for a replacement pair. Because of my experience instead I bought the Arete. I am now convinced I like carrying a shell type over glove and multiple replacement liner gloves for change outs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite ice climbing glove in the quiver For waterfall ice, a balance of warmth and dexterity is key, and the these gloves strike it perfectly in colder (think teens and below) climbing conditions. In anything from the low 20s up, I find them too warm unless I'm just standing around. I'm truly mystified at the reviews above- these are my absolute go-to cold weather climbing glove. Durability is also good, though I prefer to keep a cheap pair of leather work gloves in my pockets for rappelling and other rope work which really eats up any glove. However for cold weather leads where I still need to be able to place gear and clip carabiners easily, these are the ticket. I even bought a second pair. Again, I (respectfully) have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about! Water resistance is also excellent. While there's no such thing as a totally waterproof climbing glove, these are as close as I've ever found. 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good features, still needs work The fit and dexterity of these gloves is excellent. They come loaded with thoughtful features like single pull drawcords and keeper straps that are very helpful on cold days. However, after some use, instead of breaking in nicely, the insulation just breaks loose making them difficult to put on with cold, wet hands.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cold fingers Great looking gloves and well made, but they do not keep my fingers warm. Even a slight sweat in there will turn icy cold. Comfortable to wear and cool to look at, but $10 pair of gloves keep my fingers much warmer. Although they are claimed to be breathable, they are not. Inside just does not dry even placed next to heat vent for a few days. I regret buying these gloves. They just do not keep fingers warm!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I wanted to love these gloves because they have everything in a glove that I wanted for Ice climbing/belaying but they fell short in two critical areas for me, i.e. warmth and finger diameter. Pros: Gauntlet, gauntlet closure system, sticky palm material, padding on backside of ring and pinky fingers, water proof, precurved fingers, soft shell material, and the list goes on and on. Cons: From shoveling my driveway in 30*F to ice climbing -20*F windchill ice climbing, my fingers were always cold in these gloves. Also, the internal finger diameter is too large for my fingers. The length is perfect but there's too much air around all of my fingers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Yes and No I bought these gloves for ice climbing, but had to use them this past July in a downpour of cold rain descending Mt. Thor. My hands were warm all the way down; and the gloves eventually got thoroughly soaked to the skin. So yes for the Warmth and the curved fit. However, on the second use after I dried these gloves out, I find the insulation has flattened and they are not warm any more. My fingers are freezing in them. I am even thinking of returning them.
