Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
We want to make extra-sure you realize that you've added a special order item to your cart. These items take a little longer to get to you because we have to order from the manufacturer first. The "Est. Ship Date" is the date we expect items to leave our warehouse... so add your chosen shipping speed to see when it will show up at your door.

Supplement to a larger packI bought this ultra-lite pack to supplement my larger backpack on longer trips. Sometimes I need to venture off the main trail to restock water. This pack works fine to carry my water bottles instead of lugging my main pack down a slippery trail.

Great day packVery light backpack that can be stored easily. For smaller items like drinks, food or day hike supplies. Do not buy if looking to use for a work backpack or stuff like that.

Perfect for what it is.Bought this a month ago, primary use is as a small, lightweight bag for baby stuff when we go to the park. Don’t have to carry around the diaper bag that my wife keeps stuffed with 3 extra outfits, toys, sunscreen, books and whatever else makes it 25 pounds. Just the essentials. 2 diapers, wipes, a and pack of cheddar bunnies. I got the shadow gray color, it is not gray, it is green. It’s fine, but misrepresented. it really does stuff down into a tiny compartment. If we ever travel again it will be a great addition to the chico bag we usually keep with us.

Two Year Update...Still 5 StarPacks down to the size of a tennis ball but lighter. Think of it as a Summit pack, but for travel carry. Multiple uses for rain jacket, sunglasses, documents, snacks. The gray/green color is ideal for travel and not drawing unwanted attention. Always goes with us.

Great Space Saver / Utility PackI bought this to keep in my backpacking pack to use for small items on day hikes away from base camp. Couldn't be happier. It packs down to NOTHING, but holds a rain coat, lunch, and fishing gear with ease. I also purchased the duffel version to keep in each of my cars for when you need something to help carry items that you may not have planned on. Great design, super comfy. I keep buying them to leave all over!

For a few grams more you get 4 pockets instead of 1I love this pack because it has pockets besides the main pocket. I like to have options for easy access. For a few extra grams you get 4 pockets in this as opposed to 1 in the competing brand whose name shall not be spoken hear. I also love the osprey swagger. It has a cool osprey name on the front left strap and with the silver osprey logo on the stuff sack. I mean if you're going to have gear make it cool like OSPREY.

So Far SO Good.I added this to my list to bring with me to West Africa for my Peace Corps service. It was one of the first things I was gifted and though I told myself I wouldn't use my gear before I left, I couldn't resist. I brought this on a trial one-bagging trip to Miami as an extra bag, and just returned from two weeks in Thailand where I opted to use this as my day pack. I started the two weeks off using a cross body anti-theft bag, but eventually it got annoying and I whipped out my Osprey Ultralight. It was nice because I just casually tossed it in my bag before I left, it took up no room and clipped to the outside for my one-bagging trip. This went everywhere with me in Thailand, it was tossed around, dropped on floors, climbed questionable hiking rails, was flung around Muay Thai gyms. Through it all it help up like a champ. I filled this thing with a lot of stuff on a daily basis, from boxing gloves, a 21oz water bottle, hand wraps, power bank, Gopro gear, wallet/passport/phone, sunscreen. To my excursion set-up with changes of clothes a towel, and hairbrush, plus all my documents with room to spare. It held it all. The top pocket is surprisingly spacious for your smaller items, and this is where I stuffed my phone/passport with cover/International License/WHO Card/Wallet/Extra travel sunscreen, and the main body fits everything, the zippers held up like a champ no matter how full I stuffed it, the side pocket is awesomely stretchy (though I did not trust it to hold a full Hydroflask on its own, I preferred lighter objects in it). No rips, no tears. The only problems I really experienced were the main pocket unzipping if the top pocket was heavier than the body, and a few times the "bag" in the top inner pocket would get securely stuck in the zipper if it wasn't weighted down a bit (accomplished by a key or a few coins). Great day bag, super happy with it and will definitely have to get another.

Serves a purpose.I bought this bag to replace a 20+ year old bag to store boots and small gear when traveling to the trailhead. Keeps things organized! It also works well as a light daypack for extended overnight trips.
I noticed that the Shadow Grey color has been described as a dark green by many. Can you confirm the color is a true grey or does it have a green hue.
Asked by: scalpem
Hiya scalpem, thanks for your question! It is more of a green / grey color. Although it appears like a dark grey, it is very similar to the Graphite Grey version of the Osprey Atmos 65 AG Pack.
Check that out here:

Is the side pocket on only one side? I.e. are there two side pockets? Love being able to balance the weight by having two smaller bottles on each side instead of one big bottle on one side.
Asked by: enikgo
Hey there enikgo, thanks for the question! This ultralight pack features only one side pocket, sorry about that but I hope this helps!
When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.
Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.
Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:
What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.
What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.
How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.
What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.
Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.
JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.
All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
