Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
Earn 10% back on all full-priced purchases on Moosejaw.com or at our shops (2.5% for discounted items).
The program is FREE. Just register and join during the checkout process. So Easy.
After joining the program, you'll receive your MJ$ as soon as your order ships. Then the next time you shop at Moosejaw, you can redeem those MJ$ to get awesome gear for way less.

Back sweaters celebrate! This thing is fantastic! Osprey has done it again and squeezed their vent mesh design from their larger backpacks into this svelte little package. I am a heavy back sweater and I hate coming to a rest and removing my pack to find my whole back soaking. This pack let's the air flow through as if it isn't there and it stays as dry as possible.

Perfect size for a day out in the field!I bought this for daily work with the Forest Service. It has a gear organizer so I know where all my small items are, and also has enough room for extra layers and to carry my lunch. The design of the hydration bladder is also excellent, and the pack is durable and stands up to thorns/brambles quite well.

Perfect lightweight packI compared several packs before deciding on the Syncro 12. I also tried the Deuter Compact EXP 12 and the Osprey Raptor 14. Everyone seems to be in love with the Raptor, but I found the layout of everything to be weird on it. I'm not using this for biking much, mostly for hiking, so maybe that is why. I just didn't like the way it was laid out. the Deuter was fantastic. I loved that you can open up an additional 2-3L of space by opening up a zipper (like those suitcases that do that). Such a great, well designed pack. But in the end, I didn't find the back comfortable. And it sat too low on my torso, which made the back channel pads kinda sit on my hip bone in an awkward way. I have a short torso, so with a longer torso, it might be great.
Anyway, the Syncro doesn't have tons and tons of space. I crammed it about as full as I could get it, and with a sweater and gloves and hat, it was pretty full. But I love its flexibility. Hang a helmet on it. Strap trekking poles to the sides with the dual compression straps. The hydration bladder is fantastic, and it has the EasyConnect on it, which makes things super easy. The back is superb, framed to keep the pack off your back with a mesh area. The only thing that made me uncertain about going with the Syncro 12 was the thin waist strap. But since the loads can't be too huge/heavy, it works just great. And I don't miss the pockets on the larger waist straps most other packs have because I always wear cargo shorts or pants when hiking, so I just put those items in my pockets instead.
I love this pack and highly recommend it. There is an astounding variety of hydration packs on the market today, so just be sure to do your homework. And I recommend buying a few of them to compare them as you fill them up with the things you want to carry, and perhaps most importantly, feel them on your back as you try them out.

Perfect size!I bought this for my boyfriend mostly to use on day hikes and he loves it. He’s 6’2 and it fits him with just the right amount of space to hold a few things and not feel bulky

Solid bigger bike packI like this pack a lot. I got it so I could bring my camera with me while riding. It is a little big if you do not plan on bringing a lot of gear though.

Syncro 12I got the syncro 12 for longer mountain bike rides. It fits all my gear, pumps, tube, tools, jacket, water, food, first aid kit... it's comfortable and airs nicely, doesn't get in the way of riding. I use it for hikes as well. I'm happy with this purchase.

poor water bag design.Either have the bag ready to use when purchased or have directions in the backpack for the modifications needed before it can be used.

Best ventilation but magnet hose holder is not enoughI first purchased the older Syncro 10 two years ago as a gift for my girlfriend for a mountain biking and hydration daypack. She loved it and I made the mistake of trying it out once - I found out she was right. Even though I already have two other perfectly "functional" (non-Osprey) packs I stayed envious of her Syncro for the past two years until I finally caved in and bought one for myself. The best thing about this pack is the Airspeed backpanel - the ventilation lets your back breathe so you don't get as sweaty and overheat. It's so comfortable you forget that the pack is there and it feels very secure - I haven't noticed any load shift or bounce which can be an annoying distraction on rough trails. Speaking of rough trails brings me to my main complaint: the magnet doesn't hold the hydration hose very securely. Even on my local flatland trails, when I hit roots, rocks and small jumps it often comes loose. Furthermore, because the magnet on the hose is free to swivel, when I try to put it back on I sometimes have to twist it to get it properly aligned with the bite valve. The other improvement I would wish for is for the "slash pocket" to be just a bit bigger. On the old Syncro 10 I could fit my phone (6.5"x3.5") in it. I'm not sure why the size was reduced for the Syncro 12 but if it was larger it would be multipurpose for me. With the above two changes I would call this pack perfect. All in all, I do think this pack is one of the best on the market, especially for riding in warmer conditions.

Please note that the info provided above refers to the Torso Size / Length the pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are steps for how to measure your torso length. You should have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate.
HOW to MEASURE TORSO LENGTH: 1. Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt. 2. Touch your chin to your chest to find the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck. 3. Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring. 4. Measure the full length from the C7 vertebrae to the iliac crest. This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size chart above to find your ideal size. 5. If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.
HOW to MEASURE CHEST MEASUREMENT: Measure around the fullest part of the chest.

Warranty Info
ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE - Osprey's Lifetime Warranty
When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.
Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.
Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:
What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.
What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.
How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.
What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.
Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.
JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.
All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
