Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
3X Rewards means you earn MJ$ at triple the normal rate: 30% back on regular-priced items (instead of the regular 10%) and 7.5% back on discounted items (instead of the regular 2.5%).
Promotional Moosejaw Reward Dollars cannot be earned on Gift Cards, Bikes, Cargo Boxes, Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards.
Additional exclusions may apply.
You must use code ICECREAM during checkout to get the extra rewards.
This promotional code is good through Sunday, June 18th, 2023.

Osprey Peripheral Frame
Peripheral frame was a departure from the norm many years ago and it’s still the foundation of our gear hauling packs. A wire frame runs along the outside of the backpanel directly connecting the upper load lifters and the central core of the pack to the hipbelt to transition and spread the load. Allowing natural torsional movement, effective adjustable torsos, and different load range and backpanel builds makes this suspension design truly innovative.

Just what I wantedI was looking for a mid sized pack for day hikes and for travel and this fits the bill. I like the adjustable straps, the air flow on my back, and the handy straps and loops on the pack for tools, sunglasses, poles, etc. I had a water bladder in an Osprey bicycle pack that fits this pack perfectly so I didn't have to get a second one. Very pleased with the size. Pockets at the top are practical.

Love itMy son-in-law is hiking with it in Yosemite! Seems durable and large enough to carry the gear he needs. We had to order a larger size because the small was not long enough.

Almost perfect daypackVentilated back, hip belt that actually puts weight onto the hips for folks like me that have had back surgery, easy access side sleeves for hydration bottles, stowage for trekking poles, and overall just comfortable except for one thing. For a skinny dude, I find that to get the hip belt cinched to put weight on my hips the padding doesn't quite cover the adjustable belt straps and they dig to my tender belly flesh a bit. But, there's super easy access for my ice axes if that puts me into a murderous rage, so probably a push.
Full disclosure: I don't own ice axes, but if I did there really is super easy access for them. Also, Osprey warranty is insane.

Great Day PackAwesome day pack. Fits all my safety equipment and a change of clothes perfectly but not much more room than that. Great for hiking, camping and the ranch.

Nice daypack, sizing is questionableI bought this for day packing adventures and it seems like a really nice, well constructed bag.
With typical multi-day packs, for my body size I wear a medium pack and based on my measurements I usually fall in between sizes. So with this daypack I ordered the small/medium and it feels a little small. I needed to max out the harness/suspension system for it to fit me properly. I may hand it down to a kid and get the large for myself.
Bottom line, it's a well constructed pack and runs on the smallish side so account for that when ordering.

Great day pack!Biking or hiking, you won’t go wrong with this pack. It’s small enough to keep you agile and comfortable but plenty big to hold all of your essentials for the day. It’s very comfortable and the suspension system allows it to breathe nicely. You won’t go wrong with this pack!
What size of bladder can fit in the m/l pack? I am looking to purchase one and thinking of going with a 3 liter, but don't want to take too much space away from main compartment.
Asked by: Jack and Jill
Hiya Jack and Jill, thanks for your question! Any 2 or 3 liter hydration reservoir should fit in this pack. The hydration sleeve is on the outside of the pack so it won't take up much room. Hope this helps!

How does the men's Talon differ from the Women's Tempest? Specifically.
Asked by: JoMaui
Hey hey JoMaui, good question! The main difference here is the simple fact that the Talon is available is a slightly larger size than the Tempest, there are also ice axe/trekking pole loop storage on the Talon that is not available on the Tempest. Other than that, these are virtually the same pack; I hope this helps!

Osprey updated this pack in 2018 - are you shipping the updated version? Thanks!

Hey there, Mike!
Great question, and we have good news! Yes, we currently carry the Spring 2018 version of this pack. It's updated and ready to hit the trails with you.
Hope this helps!
When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.
Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.
Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:
What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.
What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.
How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.
What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.
Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.
JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.
All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
