Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pack, just not for me I was looking for a daypack for hiking, bonus if it served a dual purpose and could be used for running as well. This pack could fit those criteria - it’s lightweight, the giant pockets on the front straps are great, but I’m large chested and they just sat funny on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect long mission running vest! Purchased for my wife for the Narrows top down 17 mile hike. You need to carry quite a bit of gear since you need to be potentially self sufficient and water. The 2.5 liter reservoir was perfect, combined with 2 500ml soft bottles of Gatorade. She is 5’6” and we purchased the s/m size. We also spent a lot of time in the desert that trip and the larger water reservoir was a life saver. She was very happy with the front pockets as every couple of hours she could refill her snacks and eat on the move. Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for trail running & mtb I got the Dyna 6 primarily for trail running, but ended up liking the vest style fit/stability of it for for mtb riding as well, so when I needed a larger water capacity for some full day rides, I got the 15 as well! I won't go back to mtb specific packs that don't have front phone and other stash pockets for quick map/photo/nutrition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent running pack for longer expeditions I love all Osprey packs as they are lightweight and have a great design. I chose this pack for longer runs that could carry a bigger bladder, a rain jacket and plenty of snacks plus mini first aid kid. Could also carry water filtration and other accessories. Often during my races (especially the 6-8 day stage races across the country) I am required to carry my own rain jacket and pants as well as self-rescue equipment. This bag can handle that. I have not had any of the arm-rubbing experiences others have mentioned. The only two issue I have is the waist belt rides high up on my navel and often keeps riding up so I have to tug it down on occasion. I have tried adjusting all my belt straps to find the best combination but no matter what I do it still rides up with running. The second issue is common with Osprey bags unfortunately and is the fact that the hip pockets sit back too far and are quite small. For this bag, the hip belt pocket size is ok as it is meant for running so GU and salt tabs etc are easily stashed here but don't expect large items like your phone to go here. The side chest zip carries my large iphone no problem and I can even slide it in one of the chest pockets. As for the magnetic hydration tube holder, it's pretty useless and I have had to replace it with a chest clip and have cut down my tubing so it doesn't flop around. It's now perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for long trail runs I purchased the Osprey Dyna 15 specifically as a larger capacity vest for longer unsupported trail runs where I need to carry a water filter, lots of calories, extra layers, first aid, etc. Sizing: - The Dyna fits me in S/M - I'm 5'6"/150lb, and own the Aura 65 in S and Kresta 40 in S/M. Pros: - Hip belt pockets mean not having to take the pack off to get a lip balm or gummies; a "small stuff" top-loading pocket for quickly finding sunscreen and essentials; the exterior stretch mesh compression pocket provides easy access to get a rain jacket on and off in changing conditions. The main compartment is large (in a good way.) - Doesn't bounce even when loaded up with stuff Cons: - The interaction with the bladder hose is my biggest gripe. The placement of the connection between the bladder and the hose falls right on the shoulder, and it disconnects fairly frequently. The hose feels long and floppy in the front of the pack and it slides down in the magnetic clip. Overall I just find the hose annoying. - It doesn't play well with Salomon 500ML bottles in the front pockets. It may work better with the Osprey/Hydraulics brand flasks but I'm skeptical. - I wore this without sleeves a few times and had chafing on my shoulders. - The front straps are hard to deal with on the move, but I haven't had any actual issues with it. Overall, the Dyna is not perfect but it meets my specific needs and I would make the same choice again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed, some pros with 2 big cons. I really like Osprey products but this one seriously let me down. I tested this product while wearing a sleevless shirt (because it's crazy hot in UT right now) for both hiking and trail running. I did not have trekking poles. Pros: -Chest straps are clever and easy to use, especially if you have lightweight gloves on. -Loved the backpack part, good pockets and good zippers. -Front pockets are nice and spacious fit my S20 well. Cons: -Really bad chaffing on the side where my arms touch my upper chest sides, especially during hiking, not as much rubbing while running. If you have very wide shoulders and a narrow torso you probably won't be bothered but if your arms touch the sides of your chest even a little you will definitely be feeling it. It surprises me how many tags and straps they have right there to rub your arms. -The hose is supposed to stay put with a magnetic attachment....but the moment I started running within 5 steps it came loose. And I ended up having to run the whole trail with the hose held in one hand so it wouldn't flop around. The idea works well on their day packs but with running being much more impactful and bouncy I feel like this would only work with a significantly stronger magnet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits well and doesn’t move. I was looking for a lightweight hydration vest for long runs and this vest does everything I need. Easy to access side pockets, lots of storage, and it doesn’t move or create chaffed areas. The only issue I had was opening up the hydration pouch the first time. I did a quick YouTube search and I was ready to use in minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Osprey hasn't disappointed me yet I am out all the time. Between trail running, hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing I have found I like a pack that's fairly set to go for each level of intensity as well as for the sport itself. I tested out this pack on my home mountain in the Adirondacks. For 9.5 miles and 3,130 feet of elevation gain I found this pack to be sufficient for a solo quick sunset trip. I had plenty of water, packed two light sources, a rain jacket/ lightweight shell, a merino wool long sleeve base layer. Plenty of room in chest pocket for my phone. I like the the hip belt pockets are easier to open than on some of my other osprey packs. I think it's the placement and and angle. The pack was very comfortable and I was able to adjust it perfectly bro my body so it doesn't bounce around on me when I am running. Aside from the performance, I am loving the color combo of mine :)

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size the pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are steps for how to get your torso length. You should have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
1. Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
2. Touch your chin to your chest to find the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck.
3. Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
4. Measure the full length from the C7 vertebrae to the iliac crest. This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size chart above to find your ideal size.
5. If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

Warranty Info

ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE - Osprey's Lifetime Warranty

When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.

Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.

Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:

What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.

What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.

How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.

What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.

Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.

JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.

All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
