Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Starter Pack for Distance Running I bought this to get into distance / trail running as I started hitting a wall after 6 miles and needed some hydration and some gels. This pack definitely has everything you need. I will say if you are on the bigger side this pack will be too small for you. I am 6'4 245lbs and it is just big enough... it could be a little bigger imo, but the straps really are great and help it fit, There are other lighter packs that are more geared to races and more professional runners out there that I may consider if I get more into racing but for now this is everything I need. I did buy soft flasks for this, Haven't tested those out just yet but I will for my half marathon next month!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hydration Pack I use this pack for my long (20+ mile) mountain bike rides and for longer trail runs. It is a great lightweight option when I don't want to carry a larger pack. It has just enough room for the essentials like a tube, CO2 cartridges, multi-tool, and some nutrition. I use it frequently on training rides and in races, especially in the summer when hydration needs are high. It fits me well and just about disappears once I'm riding. I would definitely recommend this pack for those longer rides. It works well as a trail running pack as well and the design keeps it from bobbing up and down so much that it would be annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So impressed and glad I bought this I bought this a month ago so that I could start my long runs straight from my house, and so that on my long runs I didn't have to circle this one park in order to pass my car for water and gels. This has completely surpassed my expectations as far as how comfortable it is. I've run in it now for probably about 60 miles with 2 20 milers and I was able to hold all my fluids for a hot and humid run. I use the 1.5L osprey bladder in the pack and I bought some generic soft flasks with the longer stems to have in the larger chest pockets and it works great. I can suck on those straws without taking them out, and the stems can sit inside the little collar thing higher on the shoulder that the bladder water hose runs through. When I've run with the pack full of the 2.5L plus my phone in the back, it takes maybe 1 minute to get used to the feeling of it on my chest/back, but it feels like it doesn't bounce at all since you can synch it down from tup top, on the hips, and across the chest. I could bring way more stuff in the bag like more gels, a shell, spare socks, spare shirt, wallet, but I just haven't needed to yet. I don't think it's technically waterproof but on one 20 mile run it was pouring the whole time and my bag was in a plastic bag and the bag was dry so it seems to be unofficially waterproof at least in the key compartment. I was debating between this and a generic cheaper one, but I'm glad I got a legit product that will last forever and does the job perfectly. The mouthpiece is also super easy to use since it has that magnet, and the chest straps are also so easy to tighten on your run as you drink your water and the pack loosens up a little.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality, poor fitting I’ve owned a lot of osprey packs over the years and I’ve always go back to them because the quality/features have always been there. They need to dial in the fit better. The S/M fit the best but it rubbed the back of my neck. The L/XL I couldn’t get tight enough. I really wanted to like this pack because I really like osprey and because the price point is good, but when it comes to long miles on the trail, I need something with a better fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I've ran with other cheaper hydration vests and this by far surpasses them all! It was recommended from my two training partners who both use osprey vests and love them. The Duro 6 has plenty of storage space, feels comfortable on runs and I love the hydration bladder and how its set up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product This product works great, nice and light lots of ways to adjust the pack. Fits true to size, the black and green is a really nice color. Lots of storage but things don’t get lose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for running, short hikes and cycling in bear country I use for trail running; road and mtn. biking; XC skiing; roller-skiing, & 1-2 hour hikes. I recreate in grizzly country and the chest pockets work great for holding bear spray (the main reason I purchased this vest). I don't usually carry the water bladder but use the back pockets for a light rain jacket and pants and other small essentials. I purchased a M/L which fits pretty snug if I am wearing a thicker base layer (even with the chest straps fully extended). The bladder gets used in my other Osprey packs. I am very happy with this vest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent pack, a few minor quibbles I have been an Osprey fan for years - I've got a quiver of 5 Osprey packs including this one for various purposes. Needless to say I was happy to see Osprey release a real trail running capable pack. The pack fits like a dream (I'm 6' 1"/185lbs, size Large), the build quality is fantastic, and the hydration system is on point. I've used this for everything from a casual group run in town to a mountain 100. My complaints (which I'd love to see Osprey address in an updated model) are minor, but annoying enough to keep me from rating this pack 5 stars. - The bottom pockets on the shoulder straps are too flat to do a good job of holding in snacks. If you bend over or lay the pack down in any position but upright, all the snacks fall out. - The hiking pole attachment system is lame. It works, but you need to completely remove the pack and lay the poles across the shoulders, unlike the system in say Salomon packs or the Osprey Talon 22. - The cargo flap on the back is nice, but the straps cover up the zippers on the main compartment and "brain". This makes it difficult to open and close the zippers without taking the pack off. - There is no differentiation between the zippers for the main pocket, the brain, and the hydration pocket. I've lost count of the number of times that I've meant to open the brain only to find the top of the bladder. If Osprey would flip the zipper opening on the hydration pocket to the other side, this wouldn't be an issue. - It would be amazing if Osprey could somehow squeeze in a Lid Lock system and an ice axe loop - I would love to take this pack for light-duty summer mountaineering,.

Does this pack fit a 3L bladder?

Asked by: waiolas
Hello waiolas! Thank you for reaching out. After taking a look, it was found that a 1.5L bladder is included with the pack, however this has a pack capacity of 6L, and can accommodate a 3L bladder if necessary. Hopefully this helps!

Please note that the info provided above refers to the Torso Size / Length the pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are steps for how to measure your torso length. You should have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
1. Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
2. Touch your chin to your chest to find the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck.
3. Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
4. Measure the full length from the C7 vertebrae to the iliac crest. This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size chart above to find your ideal size.
5. If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW to MEASURE CHEST MEASUREMENT:
Measure around the fullest part of the chest.

If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.

What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.

How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.

What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.

Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.

JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.

All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
