Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.

The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Best thing I did for myself this year was buy thisI’d been in need of a kayak upgrade for nearly two years and was tethering between 2 models. I was fortunate to locate this one in photic right around the corner, which sealed my decision between the two models and at this point I’m chalking it up to “fate”.
I live in a beach town on the Ling Island Sound and wanted something that could perform on the nearby river, in the flat salt marshes and of course that I could cart down the street and launch in the Sound on days that aren’t snotty. I also wanted something light enough that I can hoist it the back of my Jeep Gladiator without help. This ticked all of those boxes.
Since buying it I have taken it on all sorts of water types and she performs like champ! Tracking is a dream and I love the speed! I have a standard run of the mill paddle too. I can only imagine what improvements I will experience when I upgrade my paddle next spring.
If you’re tossing between this model and another - don’t. Get this one. Period. The seat is Uber comfortable. It’s easy to launch, even when conditions aren’t great and is easy to clean and care for.

Best Kayak out there!These are hard to find right now, so when I found one nearby that was in stock I pounced on it…. It was a replacement for an older Dirigo that I had enjoyed for many years. I fell in love with the Loon model during a vacation in Maine. The craft is very steady, and tracks straight. The seat is super comfy (much better that the Dirigo’s seat), and I love the convenience of the removable console. I will never own anything but an Old Town, due to their history, their supreme build quality, and the beauty of their boats. This is American craftsmanship at its finest. I have used it so far in some Virginia lakes and slow moving rivers, and can’t wait to explore some North Carolina black water next spring. P.S. When my husband saw mine he got the same one in black cherry!

Great Quality KayakI've been kayaking for a year, so I do not consider myself an expert, but I am a research freak when it comes to spending my hard earned money on something new. I've done alot of research on kayaks and have used at least 4 different brands so when it came time to purchase a new one, there was only one decision hard for me. What color? Old Town, in my opinion, is the best for quality and best bang for your buck. The seats in the Loon are the most comfortable on the market. I love this boat above all the others I've been in. If I had one thing I would like changed, is move the adjustable foot rest 4" forward. (This would be a general rule for all the brands). I'm 6'-5" and when it comes to kayaks, I feel the tall people are never considered. The first thing I had to do with my new kayak was move the foot rest and epoxy the original holes. This would still work for the shorter users as there is a large range of adjustments, but that 4" makes a world of difference for me. You will not be disappointed in your purchase no matter what Old Town product you decide on.

The call of the Loon is hard to ignore.The following is, I believe, a fairly detailed review of the new Old Town Loon 106. Hopefully it will answer some questions for those who have them. So.....I decided to spoil myself with a new boat. I knew I wanted a boat in the 10 foot range, which is what I’ve mostly been paddling for the last several years. For comparison, I’ve been paddling a 10 foot boat, which is an excellent boat in the mid-price range. It is pretty comfortable and tracks pretty well in a variety of conditions, and Is also pretty smooth to paddle. However, as I’m getting older and my back occasionally complains with longer paddles (over 2 hours), I was looking for an upgrade. My priorities included a very comfortable seat and boat, that tracked well and was quiet in the water, that with any luck would carry me to the end of my paddling days, hopefully many moons from now. After doing some research and testing a few models at a local paddle shop, I decided to go with the Old Town Loon 106. I had paddled the old style Loon in Maine in large, open ponds in Baxter State Park quite a few times during multiple trips there over the past ten plus years, and enjoyed it a great deal. The new Loon is a beauty. It had the most comfortable seat of those I tried (far more comfortable in some cases), and was nice to paddle (as well as you can tell in a small pond for trying out boats). Since my new Loon came in over a month ago, I’ve been out in it close to 20 hours in multiple locations in lakes and on creeks, from slow, calm water, to water with some chop, to water with 2 to 3 foot waves. It’s handled it all like a pro. The seat is incredibly comfortable and has lots of adjustments. Once you find a sweet spot for your back as I did, I don’t know that you’ll need to tweak it very often. I certainly haven’t so far. But the point is, if you’d like to, you can, and in a variety of ways, all while sitting in the seat. The boat is also very comfortable to be in in general. Foot braces are larger than my older boat, which feel great under foot. There is plenty of room for my long legs (I’m 6 feet tall) in a variety of leg positions. The boat cuts through the water very smoothly and quietly. It also tracks very well, better than any other boat in its size range that I’ve tried. I do notice the weight difference at 53 pounds, as my older boat is 42 pounds. It’s still easy enough for me to get up on the car rack myself. If you aren’t sure if it will be too heavy for you to do this, I would definitely recommend lifting it (or a boat within a pound of it either way) as if you were putting it up on your car, which I did after I demo’d it. At some point, as age keeps chasing me, I’ll have to alter how I get it on the rack, but that would be the same for a lighter boat, albeit a few years later perhaps. The boat came with a paddle clip, which I enjoy having more than I would have thought I would. The back hatch seals very well. It also come with a crazy cool console, with a dry storage space, water bottle holders, bike water bottle holder under the console, and even a phone charging cord built into it. It is easily removable, but I just keep it on as it helps shade more of my legs and is not even close to being in my way. Being sort of old school, I still carry my Nalgene bottle by my hip, and throw a small backpack behind the seat or in the hatch with my other items. That said, my favorite console feature thus far is the small bungee-type cord that is right at the front of the console. It holds my cell phone securely in place and is in easy reach for anything deemed worthy of a photo, and I slide one of the arms of my sunglasses behind it to keep them handy. Everything about this boat seems to scream, “Yo! Check me out!” in terms of its high quality strength and looks. I love it, and couldn’t recommend it more, and I’m certainly glad that I didn’t ignore the call of the Loon. Just make sure you can get it on/in your car :)

Beautiful!!I can say just by looking at this kayak is beautiful and very well made. I'm so happy that the first one I bought that the seller screwed up and sent me the wrong kayak. I received my refund and decided to purchase the Lon106 and so happy that I did.
