Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a great shoe I have put 18 or so miles on these shoes already and I do really like them. I don't like the color but at the time, I didn't really have a choice. I needed a pair before my trip and didn't have much prep time. Waterproof and rugged, these shoes are holding up well. My only complaint is I am a solid 14 in 99.99% of shoes. This is the 0.01% I wish I got a half size larger as these tend to run a tad small. Hats off to Moose Jaw for on-time shipping and will definitely spend more time looking around on the Web Site!

Hows the waterproofing with these? Merrell advertises waterproof but I have found they really aren't.

Great question! The Firebrand has been a tried and true shoe with Oboz for years. They actually have made very few changes with it since it has performed so well. Some feedback I have heard is that because it is so waterproof, it will keep feet warm. Give it a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed. Also, we do offer free returns on all footwear just in case it doesn't work out. I hope this helps!

I am looking at the Oboz Men's Firebrand II Low B-Dry Shoe. I normally wear a size 10, reco size is 10.5, which is not available. A size 10 wide is. How much difference between wide & regular? Would the 10 W be a reasonable option?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The difference between the regular size 10 and the 10w is strictly the width of the last. If you typically find yourself thinking shoes are too tight rather than too short then a 10w might be an option. I hope this helps!
