DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpacking bag I took this out last weekend for the first time. First, I love how light the bag is. That’s one reason I purchased it. It comes with a stuff sack, but not a compression sack. I jimmy rigged something to squish it for this trip, but I recommend getting a compression sack so the bag doesn’t use more room in your pack than necessary. The night was a bit chilly, only down to about 40 degrees, and I was plenty toasty. I didn’t experiment with opening the baffles because I typically like to be warmer than cooler, but I also like that feature of this bag. I did take off my beanie because with that on, I was too warm. At 6’0” and about 200#, the bag was barely long enough for me, but I had plenty of wiggle room around the hips and legs. I did notice when I got off my sleeping pad, because that part of my body did get cool, but on the pad, I was toasty. It did what I expected. When I got gone it was nice to be able to take it out of the stuff sack and put it in the larger storage bag where the down wouldn’t be quite as compressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW Literally the hottest sleeping bag I have ever been in! I was sweating it was so warm. Using it primarily for Kilimanjaro but also living in the mountains (Colorado) I use it a lot up here as well. Just buy it. You won't regret this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE!!! I LOVE THIS BAG. Last year I spent over 100 nights in the backcountry of Northern Montana and Canada throughout spring, summer, fall and winter, and this bag kept me warm and comfortable throughout every hitch. I would look forward to sleeping (unlike many of my friends and crew members who would dread sleeping in the cold) because I knew my bag would allow me to receive a good night's sleep and keep me nice and toasty until dawn. The zippers all glide super well, no need to worry about getting trapped inside this sauna! I really love the air vents- it's a feature I never thought I would need, but I have used it on hot summer nights many times! The down is so soft and comfortable that I feel like I am in my bed at home when I snuggle in. The extra layer of "puff" near the feet is so wonderful that my feet have never been cold inside this bag ( I went camping in Canada in November in a blizzard, and I had no complaints). It is also super light! The bag packs down really nicely, and still holds its puffy shape when it is taken out of my backpack hours later. Friends ask to borrow my bag all of the time, and it is the one item that I cannot bear to share or part with! This bag is the best purchase I have ever made in my life. I love it so much, and after a year of continual use, I thought it was time to finally write a review on how awesome it is (and I never write reviews). It has not worn down over time, it still looks and feels quite new. It is my favorite item that I own, and I would be devastated it anything happened to it. I would recommend this bag to everyone. I was nervous to pay so much for a new bag, but I can easily say that this is the best purchase I could have made for myself. Thanks Nemo!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A bit of a mixed bag (pun intended) As I've gotten older I have found I need a little more warmth than I used to, so I just purchased this bag to use on my annual winter campout in the Cascades last weekend. I had to order it without trying it out as the only one available to try locally was a size large. Caveat: I was solo in a very light 3-season single-wall tent with lots of mesh and was definitely pushing its performance envelope. The good: The fabrics are soft and comfortable feeling and the bag gets fairly compact. The hood design is excellent, meaning actually usable and comfortable. The draft collar works well and the cinch cords are easy to manipulate. I am a side sleeper who is kind of restless, and there was room to pull my knees up and to turn over easily. This ended up a tradeoff (see below) The less good: The temperature only dropped into the upper-20s but the warmth was only adequate. Even considering the caveat about the tent I am not sure this bag would be warm enough to handle low teens without additional layers, and I definitely wouldn't take it to zero. I think part of the problem is that the bag is pretty voluminous inside (which helped from a comfort standpoint) and therefore a little hard to keep warm. The zipper was not smooth pulling from the inside, even though it didn't appear to be catching on fabric. Overall: A nice bag at a competitive price and weight, but the temperature rating seems a little optimistic, hurting its value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cute So the first night i spent in this bag the temp was close to -20C. and this bag did not fail. My toes were a tad cold, but that’s about it. And i later realized that i made a rookie mistake of going into the bag completely. As a result the vapors prevented the bag from doing its job a 100%. On subsequent nights when the temps continued to remain between -15C and -25C, i was pretty comfortable in the bag with a couple of layers on me. The point being : this bag is awesome! I expect it would work just as well on future summer camping trips to the lower himalayas, which is exactly why i picked this bag... ought to work for late winter as well as other seasons so i don’t need a second bag, just unzip those vents and voila! The ONLY kinda downside I noticed is the construction quality. the stitching was opening up at a couple of places. i will point it out later if it does become an issue. for now, i’m not worried about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking forward to sleeping well Purchased for upcoming winter trips to Sierra and Rainier. It appears to be very well made and I am very intrigued by the gill venting, as I usually vacillate between being too warm or too cold. Have had a number of bags over the past 50 years and this hopefully will be the best!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of features. Vent zips etc. I bought the Nemo after ordering several bags trying them out at home and picking the best for me. Roomy and quiet. One night of being miserable on a mountain and I’d spend twice as much on a bag.
