Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought this sleeping bag a few weeks ago along with cosmo sleeping pad. Used this combo on a one week motorcycle camping trip. It was excellent. Very comfortable. Good nights sleep every night. Plenty of room in the bag. Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just What I Wanted I was looking for a bag as light as I could get that would allow me to move around (I toss and turn a lot) and this is it. Well made, roomy and easy in and out. So glad I found this as my other bag was just to big and bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag LOVE THIS BAG! I have to move my legs and sleep on my side with my legs bent; this bag works perfectly! If mummy bags are too confining you will love the elastic stitching of this bag. The comforter style top and pillow holder give any night camping a restful sleep. Bottom of bag has no insulation so be sure to use pad inserted as designed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this bag! I love this bag. Plenty of room. I'm a side sleeper and this bag is perfect. I also love the pad sleeve. Now my pad won't be all over the place. Also has a pillow sleeve! No need to roll it up either. Actually fits better in compression bad just stuffed in there. Wish it packed down a little smaller. Maybe just a smaller compression bag would do it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort beyond any other bag I have used. I purchased this bag to use mainly for hammock camping. It have one for my son and one for myself. Mine is the Mezzo luxury, it uses the 30 inch sleeping pad and his the Mezzo Loft that uses 25 inch pad. The pads are also insulated with PrimaLoft and keeps you very warm. The pads slips into a slot on the bottom of the bag so you do not slide off the pad during the night. The comforter on the top of the bag is a great feature to keep you warm and to cover your head when its real cold. I purchased compression sacks so they compress down to a manageable sizes, and yes we backpack with these bags. At 4 lbs its worth the warmth and comfort. These bags are truly made for the hammock and I am surprised they are not raved about by others. I have also slept on the ground under a tarp without any discomfort or coldness. The pad is mandatory when doing this though. Thats my 2 cents worth, I think its a great setup for hammock or Tent. Have fun and be safe. Leave no trace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding design I do a lot of car and kayak camping in the Texas region and was looking for a bag to use year round. Bought the Mezzo Loft primarily for its design and it does not disappoint, from its sleeping comfort to pad pocket to storage set up. Matched it with a large Therm-a-rest Trekker air pad (R-2 value) that I already owned. Have used it on a cot in air temps of 30-deg F and had to layer up a bit to stay warm, the cold infiltrating through the pad. There is a tag on the pad pocket recommending use of an insulted pad below 45-deg F. Didn't see that anywhere in the promotional information from multiple sources, including Nemo. Seems logical after the fact but feel a bit deceived on the bag's listed temperature rating. So I docked it a star. That aside, this is one outstanding portable bed for the outdoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect nights sleep! I bought this to go along with my son on Scout camp outs. I have used it just about every month the last year and it is awesome! Great room and the "hood" is great in cold weather! There are also a lot of good features like pockets and dual zippers to open up in warm weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mezzo Loft I have spent ~25 nights in this new bag. I love it. Nice and wide. Nice and warm. I put a 3" air pad mattress in the sleeve below. I keep it stored in the large cotton bag unless I am hiking it in. I have added a shot of it in my Unimog Overlander. White Nemo storage sack in the middle of the shot. Perfect for those that hate a tight sleeping bag. Extra-wide and extra long. Absolutely my best sleeping bag

My daughter dislikes mummy bags. She needs a bag for 2/3 night summer camping trips with backpacking and carrying her gear. Can this be put in a compression sack (and what size) and easily carried? Not a strenuous hikes, but learning to carry own gear.

Asked by: ferdley
Thanks for the question! Yes. the Nemo Mezzo Loft Sleeping Bag can be used with a compression sack. This bag compresses down to 10 liters. My suggestion is the Sea to Summit Compression Sack in size Small. I included a link below for you to check it out. I hope this helps! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Sea-to-Summit-Compression-Sacks_10046711_10208_10000001_-1_
