Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect backpacking tent... for one This tent is excellent! It is lightweight and easy to pack. The set up of this tent is a breeze and the Hornet 2p is sturdy enough to withstand some decent wind gusts one a recent backpacking trip. It really is a good size for one person with a sleeping pad and enough spare room to really be able to kick back and relax. 2 persons would certainly be snug. This is my first Nemo tent but if this tent holds up over time it will certainly not be my last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, unique set up The weight of this tent is crazy light for the size. It would be tight for 2 adults but doable and the vestibules are large enough on each side for a large adult pack (my 60L fit with room to get in and out). The thing I found most amazing, though, is the set-up process. The poles set up on their own without having to be fed through the tent then you hook the tent to it plus the pole connection hub at the top EASILY made this the sturdiest tent I've owned. I slept next to a creek on damp ground w/o the footprint and there was zero condensation. I will take the footprint in the future, though, to preserve the floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two stakes short of five stars A very nice tent, but lacking instructions and one stake. It took a while to figure things out completely. The tent comes with four guylines. There appear to be three tie-out points on the fly, and three on the tent body. It took me a while to figure out that the two points near the doors were for tying the doors open, not guying the tent. This was made more confusing because each door has two clips attached to a six-inch cord hanging there. It was not clear what these were for. I thought maybe to tie open the door, but I found in an obscure place on the Internet that they are to attach between the tent and fly to help extend the tent sides, when the fly over the door is staked out. Inside each door hangs one of those dohickeys normally used to cinch down the cords on a stuff sack. Each is attached to a single ribbon, instead of two cords. Sliding them down the ribbon does nothing. I thought it was a defect. Finally, I realized that they are the mechanism for tying back the door. You pull them through the tie-out loop on the outside of the tent, and, then, cinching them actually does something. It's simple, once you figure it out, but not obvious for a first time user. Finally, I found five stake-out points on the tent (including the one guyline at the head) and three on the fly, so why only six stakes included with the tent? Come on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light, easy to set up Have used this tent for about a month. I’ve enjoyed the svelte weight and ease of use of the tent. Seems well designed, with the caveat that it has not seen storm conditions. As for being a 2 person tent, it can (just) fit my girlfriend and I, but we are on the small size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small, light, able to withstand much rain and wind I just camped with the Nemo Hornet 2P over a rainy weekend in Okinawa. This lightweight tent withstood a whole night of heavy rain and strong howling winds. No leakage of rain water. Guy-lines and tent pegs held the tent firm and well. Vestibules are kinda small, but the space was sufficient to brush teeth and remove my contact lenses (body in the tent, head sticking out to the vestibule). Sufficient space to store my bags, shoes, and wet clothes. Cooking in the vestibule might be tricky tho as the space isn't very tall. The only grip is with that the rain fly tarp does not cover the head-side completely (as mentioned by other reviewers). Therefore, condensation occurs at that portion as it is single-walled. Condensation wasn't much; no pooling of water. Just had to stay a little away from it and wipe down for a peace of mind. No condensation on the tent floors. Side pockets were very useful. Tent isn't very tall, and the max height of 40 inches is only at one point. Nonetheless, I am happy with this tent and would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent DISCLAIMER: I'm 5'3 115lb's. I just took this tent on a bike packing trip and loved it. Everything I had hoped. Setup is easy and quick as was the teardown. Spacious. It works as a two person but at two lb.'s its backpacker material. I plan on using this tent when I hike the Appalachian trail next year. I already feel like I have a leg up on weight management. For a single person it's amazeballs. All the room you could ask for. you can put your pack at your feet no problem. You can sprawl out kinda sideways like a normal bed (SIDE NOTE: I used a two person sleeping pad that fit perfectly inside and filled the whole thing.) The little side pockets are convenient. I'm really excited to use the little loops inside the tent that run along the top. Definitely going to be able to make a clothes line inside or hang what ever I want. I love the ability to pack the tent separately from the poles to adjust for packing space. Zippers got caught up a little but I've never not run into that issue with a tent... or jacket for that matter. The only real concern I have is the durability of the material. We're not talking saranwrap thin I want to say it's more like trash bag thin. Surprisingly durable but it will definitely wear out a lot faster given the environment you're using it in, frequency of use, and how you care for it. But any tent designed to be light will have this drawback especially at this level. Over all very happy with this product. Will buy gain.
