Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient and comfy I originally bought this for a long weekend car camping trip - my first in a tent instead of a camper - and am very happy with it so far. The foot pump is easy to use and inflates the pad quickly. The pad stays inflated very well; I only gave it one extra pump of air before the second night. It seems durable, though I've only used it a few nights. I'm most comfortable when I have it a little less than fully inflated, and as a back and side sleeper, I can happily say that my hips or shoulders never touched the ground. The dump valve made quick work of emptying the air out, and after folding in thirds the long way and rolling up, it wasn't difficult to get the pad back in its sack. I would say that you'd want a regular pillow, as the larger air chamber at the top of the pad isn't enough head support on its own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable but squeaky! 1. Size and weight of the Cosmo are great for car camping. Folds down and sets up very easily. The integrated footpump is awesome and will fill up the mattress in 75-100 pumps depending on how firm you want it, and the dump valve lets out all the air in a second! 2. If you are a petite person, the 25L size is very generous if you want to be completely on the pad. I am 5'0" and the pad still had a good 8 inches or more of space at the end, and a good 3-4 inches of room in width to really spread out and side-sleep. However, I wasn't a fan of the pillow bump at the top as it felt too firm and narrow to use as a comfortable pillow, so I slept a few inches lower on the pad. 3. The fabric seemed touch enough but, oh my goodness, it squeaks! My tentmate jokingly commented on it and said it was fine, but I felt pretty conscious and tried not to move around as much so as not to make noise. The source seems to be when the bottom of the pad rubs against the fabric of the tent bathtub. Next time I will try to put some fabric in between the two materials to see if it alleviates the issue. The squeaking is the only downside to the pad and why I didn't give it a full five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sleep you can have in the wilderness! This sleeping pad is a game changer! Never slept better. The firmness can be adjusted with a valve, the foot pump works fast, the air dump valve is great for packing up in a hurry. . .bears in camp :), plus it takes up less space than a traditional sleeping mat. I've been backpacking for 25 years, its hard to get excited about a sleeping pad. You Will!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Permitted us 70-year-olds to sleep well in a tent Given their comfort, these mattresses fold into an amazingly small bag. We found them easy to inflate and they supported stomach, side and back sleeping for us (we are average weight and height). We were car camping, but we've been passing the good word to our younger backpacking friends. As we downsize, we'll likely use them for extra guests at home too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent pump! Bought this because is packed a lot smaller than our foam self inflating air mattresses. Pump worked really well. Had to inflate using CPR motion since you cannot stand up in our tent, and the ground was too wet outside to put the mattress on the ground. Took no more time than blowing up our old air mattress, and I was not winded when I was done. Super easy to deflate. Rolling up is much easier after you realize you have to fold the pump area and really crunch the foam inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pad for a rough sleeper As a young buck I've been able to sleep on a typical pad with no problem. Recently I went into the backcountry for a three day night and end up walking out the next morning because I did not get one once of sleep my first night with my slim pad. It SUCKED!!! With in a few days I purchased the Cosmo Air 25L for a another trip and I have to say I slept quite well with it. The thickness of the pad kept most of the cool air of my back and my hips and arms did not fall asleep as much as they did with the slim pad. More or less as I get older I would take the extra weight for a good night sleep in the backcountry.

Is the Nemo Cosmo 25 Sleeping Pad insulated? How resistant is the pad to punctures?

Asked by: Neaputs
Hiya Neaputs, thanks for your question! This is the regular pad. You can find the insulated version here: https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Nemo-Cosmo-Insulated-20-Sleeping-Pad_10333509_10208_10000001_-1_ The pad is made with abrasion-resistant materials but it is not puncture-proof. So keep your dog's nails off the pad. Hope this helps!
