Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Fantastic alpine climbing packI've been using this pack for the last winter ice climbing season and it's fantastic. Carries and spreads weight very evenly around the hips and shoulders, doesn't cut in, climbs very well on mulitpitch.
I'm a small-framed woman (5'2") and have the S/M size for this pack and it fits perfectly.
Love the side-accessible zipper for when I need to grab something from the bottom of my pack and the pockets at the top for storing the essentials.

Great backpack! Some critical issuesLove this back in terms of design and function. Great for ice climbing and skiing. The only downside is the buckles don't work when it's freezing out, and they get only the slightest amount of snow/ice in them. In Montana, that happens more often than not, and I've had the buckles freeze and not snap during several mission-critical moments that have caused some significant issues

Nailed itThis is a perfect ice climbing pack. The product video makes it seem like this pack is oversize for a day of ice, but I usually carry a full 35-40 liters of kit and would rather compress a bigger pack than stuff a smaller one, so I think it is just right. The compression straps shrink it down and I love having extra room for my insulation, schnapps, harness… etc.

Scepter 50 Carries the Load!I bought the Scepter 50 recently to replace a very well worn Bomb Pack. Although I don't really do any significant climbing any more, I like the larger single compartment design for carrying significant amounts of camera gear on longer day hikes. I've found that the tool carry feature on the back of the pack can be easily adapted to carry a large tripod very securely.
What I really like: It carries a load very comfortably. I've probably only had 25-30 lbs in it so far, but it all goes to the hip belt and rides very comfortably. The material looks like it will hold up to a lot of abuse, which is inevitable!
What could stand improvement: The small top pocket is going to take some getting used to. I'm definitely used to the roomy top pocket in the old Bomb. Guess I'll use some smaller bags in the main body to group stuff together. The buckles seem to take more effort to buckle than the old Fastex buckles; I seem to miss a lot when I go to fasten them. Probably will get better with more practice.
Overall, a very high quality product that will probably outlast me. I shopped around for other brands, but they seemed to be more interested in looking pretty and having little "bells and whistles" features than carrying the load in the long run. I really appreciate that Mystery Ranch has focused on the mission of their product, and not just making them marketable to the masses.

Sweet top loader wish it had a pocket in the BrainIt does all your typical MR pack would do, but I wish it had a brain in the top flap to store stuff... shovel and probe pocket is adequate but watch out for oversized probes and shovel handles & blades that may not fit.

Suggestions for refinementBought this pack in size L/XL as a winter-oriented upgrade for my old Pitch 40.
Pros:
-Excellent materials
-Great colors
-Good choice of buckles
-Ample volume
Cons:
-Blowing snow and spindrift enters pack via hydration hose openings
-Pack body length insufficient to allow load lifters to function optimally for taller users; load lifters pull back and down on the shoulder yoke rather than back and up
-Single stay design transfers load less effectively than older two stay designs
-Single stay design contributes to load lifter dysfunction; rather than translating load lifter forces directly down to the hip harness via dual stays, the pack body sides collapse before engaging the single center stay
-Unused potential space between lid fabric layers
Suggestions:
-Equip small hook-and-loop closure strips to close hydration hose openings
-Lengthen pack body to keep load lifters above shoulder yoke for taller users
-Revert to two stay design for more effective load lifter function and overall improved load carriage
-Permit zipper access to potential space between lid fabric layers.

Strong yet easy to carry.This is the most beautiful backpack, I got it in red for me and then I also got one for my son because he wanted to "borrow" mine. The backpack isn't too feminine or masculine. It will work for everyone.

Thoroughly Impressed with this pack.I bought this pack to use for larger/longer backcountry ski/mountaineering trips and every time I use it I am happier that I went ahead with the purchase. Large enough to fully load up for a multi-day lean-to supported backcountry skiing trip yet can slim down for the summit push/skiing down when most of your equipment is worn. Because of the slim brain design, head movement is not impeded whatsoever when skiing or bootpacking up steep terrain. Has just enough features to get the job done for a minimal pack. I find myself reaching for this pack more often than the Osprey Kamber 32 I've been skiing with for years. My only concern is the robustness of the side compression straps when A-Frame carrying skis (as this isn't quite what these straps were designed for) but time will tell on that one. I contacted Mystery Ranch after using this pack to tell them they should advertise it as a ski mountaineering pack as much as an ice climbing pack because of just how impressed I am with this thing.

Getting Your Size Waist Circumference: Measure around your waist just above the top of your hip bones (roughly two fingers below your belly button). Torso: Use a tailors tape measure or string and have a friend measure between the bony bump at the base of your neck (C7 vertebra) to the spot on your spine that is just behind your belly button.
