Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Great Design! Only 1 tiny hiccup hereWhat is a good solution to fixing the draw-cords on the small pockets?? I LOVE my RipRuck for my every day carry in construction across the nation. 5 star review was so close but these little rubber strands break so soon! The bootlace cord you can pull is excellent but the pocket remains closed unless you anchor your pull at the plastic closure. At this price point and reputation I expect bombproof latches/zippers/cords, as anyone would. I’m thinking D-cord string from a compound bow to lace through the plastic latch where the magnet holds the pocket closed. I should not have to modify a mystery ranch bag to make the pockets dependable. A waxed canvas bag with steel hardware of this would be 100%

Amazing school backpack (but needs side pockets)The Rip-Ruck 24 is an almost perfect school backpack! My son (12) has been carrying one for almost 3 years. It has been fantastic - has held up to daily use, holds and organizes well, and looks great too. I recently purchased another for his younger brother. My two other kids have used north face backpacks for years and it seems like I am buying a new one for them almost every year. Mystery Ranch has held up so much better. The biggest drawback is the lack of the side water bottle holder (ie. the side stretch woven pockets - they are on the 15 and 32). The 24 will mostly likely work thru middle school but I worry it will become too small for Highschool. Hence….
Mystery Ranch, please make a Rip Ruck 28!! I would do anything to have Mystery Ranch take the exact design of the 24 and make it bigger (say 1750 cu-ins with added cu-ins more in the depth of the pack than height), plus add the side woven pocket. I’ve purchased the 32 hoping that it could be the next step up for my 12 yr old, but it is just too much of a backpack for everyday (too tall, too bulky, organization not as good). The 24 has a two big sections - the back with laptop sleeve and the front rip-zip compartment. The 32 has a more narrow back compartment that seems like it is only for a laptop while the front rip-zip is really large. I think the 24 is better balanced and makes it easier to organize for school.
Our family has a bunch of Mystery Ranch packs, mostly for day hikes/everyday carry/travel. The Rip-Rick 24 is our favorite for durability and versatility. Could be a perfect 10 if it had the side woven pockets!

Perfect EDC back except....Honestly there are so many things to love about this bag. It carries a good amount for the size w/out feeling over stuffed. Some people critique that its load carrying, weight distribution, padding/breathability are a bit lacking compared to other MR packs... and if you were considering this for a day hike pack I would agree... however where this pack excels is your every day, around town, to and from work/school back pack that addresses all the major needs associated with carrying around things for your daily commute. My only gripe about this pack is the lack of a water bottle pocket on the side. Yes you could put one inside the pack itself or in one of the rip pockets in the front... but then that additional space on the inside you ahve to account for. The other bags in the rip ruck line have atleast 1 water bottle pocket on the side and its such an easy thing they could have added to the 24 as well. why it was omitted I have no idea, but IMHO its the only thing that kinda ruins this bag for me.

Great construction and sizeGot this 24L ruck bc I had tried the 15 and it was way too small. The 24 is a good size but just right for day to day lugging around. Laptop sleeve and separate zip compartment is great. Love all the features! Very comfortable straps. I’d recommend this backpack for daily-work, day hikes, a trip to the range, etc. great bag!

Rebought!I bought this backpack for the first time 3 years ago, and liked it so much I just bought it again in a different color. I am a huge fan of the “rip” function of the pack. The ease of opening it with one hand and finding something inside is better than many over backpacks I have tried. Definitely worth the extra money for this quality backpack!

Love the pack but…Let me start by saying it is a great pack however I would have been happy to pay a few extra bucks for simple upgrades/basics. The front pocket could have easily had a zippered compartment which I think is a waste of space not putting it in also they could have easily put in water bottle pockets on the sides so you don’t have to waste pack space for water bottles. Other than that it is a great pack which I would highly recommend.

Surprisingly large capacityGreat bag, it fits a 17" laptop in the back, and the volume of the front of the bag is large enough for alot of accessories for EDC. I will buy another Mystery Ranch pack in the future.

Getting Your Size Waist Circumference: Measure around your waist just above the top of your hip bones (roughly two fingers below your belly button). Torso: Use a tailors tape measure or string and have a friend measure between the bony bump at the base of your neck (C7 vertebra) to the spot on your spine that is just behind your belly button.
In Between Sizes? If you are between sizes on the waist belt, Mystery Ranch recommends you size down. If you are between sizes on the yoke or if your measurements fall outside standard sizing, please contact Mystery Ranch Customer Service.
