Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.

"Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!

Great Pack! Great Service! Buy me!Initially, I bought this pack by accident attempting to buy the MR Bridger 55 pack. The price I got was an amazing price match by MJ and I was thrilled until I realized it was the wrong one! MooseJaw has such outstanding customer service they helped me get the right pack for another amazing price match for the Bridger 55 which was a hit as a gift! Thanks, MJ!
I intended to return the Terraframe 65 as soon as it arrived, however I tried on for the heck of it and let me tell you, this is pack felt and fit great with a few EASY adjustments. That got me thinking and that’s always dangerous!
Let me start by saying I discovered Mystery Ranch designs and produces rucks for the US Military, firefighters, and first responders looking at the manufacturer. Common sense will tell you those fields need sturdy, reliable equipment when it counts. I think that’s translated into their outdoor packs. While this may bother some due to our more granola sensibilities, it’s high quality gear in an industry where you get what you pay for often applies.
The fabrics used in the pack feel think and durable. It feels like quality materials. The material feels more durable to me than my Gregory. The craftsmanship of the bag is excellent.
I loaded the pack up with weight just to see how it felt and wow! It is one of the most comfortable packs I’ve ever worn under weight. The padding and comfort of the waist belt and yoke were phenomenal! The MR Terraframe is in another level. I have a Gregory Baltoro 65 and let me tell you, that’s no slouch.
There’s a large main pocket accessible from the top and each side with its ‘U’ zipper design. The top of the main compartment has something similar to a dry sack. It opens up like a sack and cinches closed.
There are two huge bag length pockets on the front along with Molle system loops for attaching extras. I’ll note those loops are present as well on the waist belt and yoke to attach extras. There are loops on the bottom if you want attach something to the bottom like a pad or whatever you choose.
It has a large reservoir compartment which fits my 3L Gregory just fine. There are large pockets on each side of the bag which could be used for water bottles or supplies. You can see my 24oz Grayl water bottle in the pocket.
The lid comes off and can be used as a day pack if you choose.
Now, a huge feature of this pack is its external frame which can be separated from the bag to form a space to hold objects close to you body and in between the bag. You could use it for odd shaped objects, hard storage cases, or even dry bags storing anything you put in it. You could throw your tent in there so you don’t have to fish it out when you stop for the night.
The only sort of draw back is there isn’t as much back airflow as some of the other packs out there. This can make you back a little warm on hot days, however it’s no big deal to me. You sweat hiking on hot days anyway.
Otherwise, the back padding is comfortable and contours to your body really well. BTW, I would note the solid external frame behind the padding moves and contorts with your body as you walk rather than being a solid anchor like the older external packs. It’s really nice and helps maintain weight management and balance as you lumber around like me.
Mystery Ranch does offer other packs like the Bridger which does have the channeling of you really care that much about it.
All in all, this turned out to be a terrific happy accident as Bob Ross used to say. It’s a great pack which I mistakenly bought for a great price thanks to great MooseJaw customer service who helped me get the right pack for the gift at a great price. I can’t say enough about their customer service.
I was going add a video, however photos will have to do. Sorry!

Solid bag for Mountain and Ropes OperationsThe bag itself is solidly built. The hip belt is well padded, but may take some adjustments if you are wearing a climbing harness. The side access zipper to the main compartment is convenient and the torpedo pockets allowed me to fit first aid items and a saw with quick access. The straps on the bottom of the bag made it easy to attach a sleeping mat and snow shoes. I was able to hang a 3L hydration bladder using the provided attachment, but its location inside the main compartment takes some consideration regarding your load out.
One thing I noticed is once I added about 250' of wet rope on the top of the bag (secured under the lid) it seemed the weight was pulling away from me shoulders. I have carried rope and equipment in this manner before with my previous bag and did not have this issue. I will continue to work on the yoke adjustments and loadout to see if i can remediate this issue.

So Nice I Bought the 65 and the 50!I had tried the Terraframe 65 on while visiting an outdoors shop in Fredericksburg, VA, and immediately knew it was high quality and loved the way it fit. After nearly two decades of service in the USMC I could tell that the way it sat just above my hips that I could load this thing up and it would remain comfortable no matter the weight carried. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought the Terraframe 65 for backpacking trips with my wife and the Terraframe 50 just to keep loaded with weight in my office to hike around the trails of Marine Corps Base Quantico for training. The frame is sturdy but flexible, which adds to the comfort. I generally purchase things in black but decided to go with the Deep Sea color for the 65 and I'm glad I did -- the pictures don't do the color justice -- it looks sharp. I can't wait to take this thing on some thru-hikes in the future!

Perfect for guiding in Nepal!I have been a professional guide since 2005. I guide in the peaks of Nepal and find myself frequently carrying two packs. I had to custom make my summit pack so it could breakdown and fit in my larger backpack. I had to use a 90L haul bag so I could fit all my stuff in there for base camp and also for high camps. Now I can place my summit pack and tent right behind the game and carry my base camp gear inside the pack itself. This pack is crazy durable. I rarely spend $$ on gear but in this case it is totally worth it. I will still be using this pack in 10 years.

storage is goodI enjoy backpacking.
I have to stay overnight in the mountains.
So, I bring a lot of gear and go
The Terraframe 65 Pack is my treasure.
Equipment storage is very convenient.
I would recommend this bag to backpackers
Hey there, thanks for your question.
The pack ships fully assembled and in the smallest box that we can fit it into. Since we recycle so many boxes it's not really possible to predict the exact dimensions of the box used for every shipment. The pack itself is 31in x 13in x 14.5in so you can expect the package to be a little bit bigger than that.
I hope this helps!

What kind of material is the pack made of? What is capacity with out the overload in cubic inches?is overload a bag that goes on pack?
Asked by: Rammy
Hey there, thanks for your question.
The Mystery Ranch Men's Terraframe 65 Pack is made with 330D Lite Plus Cordura. The Overload feature allows you to remove the main body of the bag from the frame. This gives you an expandable space around 30L between the bag and the frame to strap down heavy or awkward loads.
In the video below, at about 1 min in, they show how to set up and use the Overload feature. The duffel bag he uses, and the orange bag in the pictures are just examples of the extra load, but are not included with the pack.
I hope this helps!

How well would a Bear Vault or Backpacker’s Cache fit in the Terraframe 65? Would I feel it against my back?
Asked by: Dave
Thanks for reaching out! NO, you should not feel items that are inside your pack against your back. The body panel should act as a buffer. Also, it will depend on how you store these items inside your pack. I would place them towards the top, near the shoulder blades. I hope this helps!

Somebody else asked this, but Foxxy C. didn't appear answer the question. Will a Bear Vault 500 fit horizontally? If not horizontally, then how about vertically?
Asked by: LuckyPup
Hey there, thanks for your question.
We physically tried it, and vertically the vault fits easily. It can be forced sideways but its not exactly easy, and It's not ideal how much strain it puts on the seams.
I hope this helps!
Getting Your Size Waist Circumference: Measure around your waist just above the top of your hip bones (roughly two fingers below your belly button). Torso: Use a tailors tape measure or string and have a friend measure between the bony bump at the base of your neck (C7 vertebra) to the spot on your spine that is just behind your belly button.
In Between Sizes? If you are between sizes on the waist belt, Mystery Ranch recommends you size down. If you are between sizes on the yoke or if your measurements fall outside standard sizing, please contact Mystery Ranch Customer Service. Purchasing packs outside of standard sizing is possible through our Custom Sizing Program. There is typically an additional cost associated with this purchase.
