Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Picture shows it set up with just fly and a footprint. Is footprint included?

Asked by: Nate
Hey, Nate! Good news, you found a great value of a tent as it does indeed come with the footprint! You, too, can be all minimalist and just throw up the fly on the included footprint. Hope you take the Elixir on some awesome adventures!

Asked by: Mitch
Hey there, Mitch. Straight to the point, I see! Yes. Freestanding. Unless windy. Then no. To clarify: this tent, on clear, calm days, will stand there all tent like without the assistance of stakes. So if you had to pitch this on a cement pad or inside a hiker shelter, make sure you are not expecting any wind or pitch in a way that will help buffer any wind, otherwise it will dance around you as you try to sleep.
