Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Carbon poles failedMy daughter and I were thrilled to purchase two of the Advance Pro tents. We are small women and not overly muscular and we were very careful setting them up. However, both of us had splitting of the carbon poles the first time we used our tents. We were very, very disappointed! The poles should be strong enough for normal use!

Light, easy to use, but faulty polesComing from the southwest, I really love a single wall tent. This is well ventilated, bright inside, and an escape from blowing sand in canyon country. My complaint, however is the carbon fiber poles. I was very careful with them, but several ends of the poles became frayed the first time I used the tent. I am very disappointed.

Best Tent I've Ever OwnedWaterproof, windproof, snow-proof, fits anywhere, good ventilation, lightweight, quick setup & breakdown, freestanding, size allows it to retain heat in winter, perfect for one person + gear, size and shape allow for easy pitch while others struggle to find a suitable spot for their tents, nice aesthetic

Bad in rainThe Advance Pro is my 2nd MSR. I loved it until I encountered rain last weekend. For the price and the quality; I was not worried till I started getting drips over my head and little puddles on each corners. Disappointed

MSR Advance Pro 2It's a great 4 season tent for short people. I'm 6'2"" so I have a 6'6"" inside length winter sleeping bag. Consider 8 inches of down insulation for a winter sleeping bag. 78 inches for the inside of the bag plus 16 inches (2 x 8 inches) for insulation is 94 inches. 94 inches or the sleeping bag is squished against the tent wall and it's cold. This tent is 82 inches long. Not even close. Does anyone make a light long 4 season tent like this for taller people? C'mon MSR help us out!

Good for moderate to light-extreme mountaineering!I've camped on dirt, gravel, and snow with this tent--each time it proves to be exceptional in keeping out water, wind, and the cold. It's light and packs well and provides good ventilation to cook in during rainy days (I'd keep the door 3/4 open if I'm cooking multiple meals to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning). There are some small things I did not like, for example, I'm not a fan of how the door opens. The top-down opening causes a lot of snow and water to drip into the tent. It is small for a 2-man, but perfect for an alpine 1-man. I'm also wondering whether its possible to buy an add-on vestibule. Overall an exceptional tent. I'd recommend it.

Excellent but take care about guy linesWe camped with 2 of such tents on altitudes 4500m to 6400m. We was 3 person, so we had one tent with 2 person and one - with 1 person. Occupancy: this tent is best for 1 person. In this case you have enough space for all your gear, cooking etc. It is possible to sleep 2 person, but make sure you understand what are you doing. We found it is better sleep in a manner when one lying head to the exit and another - in opposite direction. Otherwise, shoulders are too wide to comfortable fit into the tent width. Also, no space for gear or whatever remains. Be prepared to put all yous stuff - rucksack, harness, extra cloths etc - all beneath your sleeping mat, helmet in the corner near legs, stove next to your head etc. Perhaps have one bag with gear outside tent. We stored extra gear from tent with 2 person in the other tent where single person slept. Pitching: very easy. Small footprint reduces amount of work to be done to prepare surface. Easy to find large enough place for tent. Condensation: none at all or very small. Even with completely closed entrance. Taking into account 2 person in a tent and quite low temperature (-20C) it is excellent. Overall, it is very comfortable to stay in a tent. Wind: when properly fixed using guy-lines, tent is very stable and even strong wing (>50km/h) does not make a problems. Some snow penetrates into tent with a wind through the mesh on the ventilation opening, not much. However be careful with guy-points in the center of the tent faces. If overloaded, it may broke (see photo). Not sure if it is tent defect of normal situation. Summary: excellent tent for high mountains. Best for 1 person, can be used for 2. Some care should be taken
