Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

It’s a beast!I’ve been eyeing this bad for sometime and love the bag! This is more than a fanny pack. Pockets galore and area for water bottles but have yet to use it. Well made bag for hiking and doing things around town. Sometimes I just want to have my shoulders free and not worry about flipping my bag around. I just clip this in and no issues around my waist. Little warm but I just loosen it a little. The bag itself is as wide as I am but I don’t care. It holds everything I need and my extras.

Just what I needed for field workI love this bag. It Carrie’s what I need in the field and allows easier access to those items without removing it t from my body as I had to do with a backpack. My neck and shoulders tend to get tight easily, so putting all the load on legs is a good thing. I wear the shoulder strap very loosely so I can unbuckle waist and swing the whole bag around to the front. Sometimes I buckle in back to work with it like that. I have a Zlite seat strapped to the bottom - no problem. My partner immediately got himself one too - he chose the bigger one and I have the smaller one. He has the strapettes to keep it close to body. So stoked we may do a YouTube review.

Large capacity, but heavy.Years ago I used an earlier version of the Tour for long-distance day hikes in NH's White Mountains. It worked for me and kept my back dry on hot days, but never liked the way that it pulled away from my back. The new version was redesigned and does not pull away from my back. I especialy like how I can tighten the belt by pulling forward, but the Tour is still too heavy and, with my 30 inch waist, is too long to be really comfortable. For my short trips in warm weather I stick with my Drift, but when I need to carry more, I use my Tour, and I use the bottom straps to carry a raincoat or shell layer. That's a nice feature.

Great lumbar packBought this for a Disney trip with the kids. Worked out great. Packed it with snacks, water, camera, phone battery, phone, wallet. Wore it all day long at the parks. Super comfortable.

Pulls away a little, but otherwise greatI like this pack a lot for shorter hikes, as you can pack a jacket and other necessities in the main compartment, water bottles in the side pockets, and a snack in the hip pocket. I knocked it down a star only because I find it to be balanced a little weird, so with any significant weight (like a fully loaded first aid kit or heavier water bottles - looking at you, HydroFlasks), the top of the pack starts to pull away from my body leading to more movement than I'd like. This can be mitigated somewhat with the included shoulder strap, and by cinching it down as much as possible, but not totally. Still a nice pack for a day hike, though.

3rd time purchasing this exact packI first purchased this pack in 2005. I finally felt comfortable with a man purse and decided to make the leap. I have since ordered the same pack a total of three times because it's just about perfect for all travel situations and holds up so well.
Using this for a daily pack in town? Just, tuck the waist straps in and they don't get in the way. You can even unclip the shoulder strap as well for minimal flappy things.
Using this on a day hike where you don't need your full backpack? It holds a surprising amount of gear and the straps really help distribute the weight.
The bag wears well over the years. It took my previous two MS Tour Packs about 8 years each to wear through and the front zipper was what finally broke each time. Honestly though, after 8 years of near daily use, they were pretty dirty looking so I was fine with it.
The only reason this one is not getting 5 stars is because of the new design on the shoulder strap. It is not adjusted in the middle similar to a headlamp strap slide. It's fine but the previous models were adjusted at each buckle like most backpacks. Luckily, MS kept the same buckle size and I just put my old strap on this bag. The original strap would have worked out fine if needed.

Shoulder issues so needed a good alternativeWorks great, like the side panel pockets on belt, gives me easy access to snacks and sunscreen. Didn’t want this big size but happy not to be stuffing it full so size is nice. I like it it’s a nice rig !

Great Pack for my daily photo useThe Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack is excellent! I use it for routine daily walks to carry my mirrorless camera and when needed to carry my large DLSR (D800). This pack was the only one I could find to carry my DLSR and a 24-120 lens.
