Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hit the mark! Great product, well-made, happy with my purchase. The blue color (forget what fancy name they gave it) is really nice. The sleeves are a little long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for the Price Nice quality jacket with lots of 800 waterproof fill down. Simple design but typical good quality Mountain Hardwear piece of gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for cold outdoor adventures I bought this a month ago, primarily for use winter hiking in the White Mountains. It is extremely compressible, very warm, and blocks the wind. Great to have at the summits on cold, windy days. I've seen some other reviewers mention that it runs on the large side. That's true. However I liked that fact since I was able to layer it with a down sweater and other wicking layers underneath. The hood is quite large, perhaps intended that way for use with a helmet. I have a very large head and don't use a helmet. Still trying to figure out how to adjust the hood snugly in light of that fact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great belay coat I use this as my belay coat for mountaineering. Comfortable at rest down to about 10 degrees. Below that it was helpful to have a 60 g Primaloft layer underneath. Easy on and off and compressible in my summit pack. Sleeves are a nice tight seal but hard to remove with heavy mittens on. Spacious hood that fits easily over the helmet. I waffled between this coat, the MH Nilas, and the Patagonia Fitz Roy. I chose this one because it was cheaper and more versatile did not regret my decision. Size is true if you use it for intended purpose, eg. wearing on top of a baselayer, midlayer, softshell and +/- a hardshell. If using it as a casual jacket then it probably is going to be a bit roomy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SO warm! I bought this jacket for my boyfriend because he LOVES Mountain Hardwear and had been hinting he wanted another jacket but with a hood. This jacket is amazing, super lightweight but almost like wearing a sleeping bag. The only downside is that the sizing is a little different than other Mountain Hardwear jackets, mostly that it's quite a bit bigger. He's about 6'5'' with long arms and he was in between XL and L, but he stuck with the L for this jacket. The outer material feels a bit thin, but I've owned Phantom Down products before that are similar and I have not had any problems with snags or anything. Shark is a nice dark grey and the orange adds a nice bit of color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket..way to big I normally wear XXL in Mountain Hardwear gear because of my massive rock hard pecs. I had to return this one. The XXL sleeves went 6" past my hands. Besides the enormousity of jacket it was pretty sweet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked the jacket but.. I liked the jacket. It felt very warm and light. Lots of loft. My only problem was the hood. It is extremely large. I realize this is to fit over a helmet but that is less of an issue for me since I'm using this primarily as an every day winter jacket. Even after tightening the hood I had trouble getting it to fit well (and I have a big head!) If you are will be using a helmet most of the time, I'd say go for it.
