Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.

SizeRuns small. As a shell it should have a bit more room for layers.

High quality, but weird fitProbably a great jacket but the fit was not right for me. The XL was slightly too tight in the shoulders to where I felt restricted with full layering system underneath. The main killer for me was size of the neck when the jacket was zipped up all the way. It felt like I was being suffocated or like there was a hand over my mouth. Super restrictive and uncomfortable when also wearing a helmet underneath. The material and build quality seemed to be very sturdy and light weight. I don’t doubt this would have been a great choice. I’m 6’4” and 220lbs for reference. I imagine an XXL would have been the right size, but it was sold out.

Really a great jacket…almost perfectGreat jacket for touring or mountaineering, but not perfect. Yet to try the jacket in the elements but have owned several jackets from TNF, Patagonia, HH, Arcteryx. All good for comparison points.
Pros
Weight: perfect for high endurance activities where removing and adding layers is part of the day. Sub 500grams, awesome
Pockets: avy pack or backpack compatible/accessible with pack waist strap…and if u use the waist strap on your pack, there is never a need for a powder skirt, just adds weight and bulk
Hood: helmet compatible
Front zipper: very durable. Disagree with some comments that the zipper should be water tight, I think that makes it less durable
Soft touch fabrics: inside coat at upper neck, and back around collar reduce fabric friction
Pockets: enough inside the jacket to carry essentials
Cons:
Size: on the smaller size. Again, designed for active mountain pursuits where u generate body heat thru activity where justa base layer, mid puff/down jacket, and shell are enough. 6’ & 174lbs, medium was just perfect, double up or add another bulky base layer, and it’s too tight. Go to a large, too big. It could use with about 5% more size volume
Pockets: outside pockets on both sides could be taller to accommodate skins. Not necessary, added bonus would be ticket pocket
Sleeve cuff: wider for over glove. Really too narrow for a decent powder glove to go under the sleeve cuff, even when I tried the large, was still to small. Needs another 3/4” taper sleeve wider
Length: perfect with a bib, and wide enough around waist. Go to a pant, some may find it short on the front. May have to size up
Recco: how does it not include?
Ok, to summarize: this is not a resort jacket, get a heavier stretch shell jacket that includes features missing from the “cons” list. But if you already have that perfect resort shell, want a back-country, minimalist, lighter weight/waterproof/durable shell. This is the one! Does it stretch, fabric has give, no stretch. I find that IMO non-stretch Gore fabric Great jacket for touring or mountaineering, but not perfect. Yet to try the jacket in the elements but have owned several jackets from TNF, Patagonia, HH, Arcteryx. All good for comparison points.

Non stretch fabric IMO is better at dealing with heavy wet snow or rain when weather gets bad, never “wets-out” and breaths better.

Poor quality.Underarm zippers failed at most important time needed: top of Rainier Mt with 40MPH wind. Poor quality. I contacted warranty but they refused to repair saying this is due to natural fabric breakdown which they do not cover.

Excellent All RounderFirst, I am 6'0" and 225lbs, I purchased the XL and it fits me very well. I have been using Mountain Hardware products for 20 years and they continue to produce solid products. I use this jacket on the ski slope (resort skiing and side country) and around town. I have about 15 days on this jacket on the hill so far. Pros: Fit, warmth, dry, durable, good venting, hood works over my helmet, placement of chest and inside pockets. Cons: wrist diameter a little small to pull over even a short glove, handwarmer pocket placement a little far back.
Overall a great product, I would buy it again for what I use it for

Love this thingI got this at the end of last ski season (2020) and have had it now through another full season on the mountain and in the PNW winter/rainy season. I wear it skiing, mountaineering, and around town (mine is a past design and just grey).
Have absolutely no real complaints.
Note 1: may need to size up.. on a summit it was a little annoying getting the puffy underneath, but it's a 700fill so depends what you're wearing.
Note 2: there's no side pockets, which, when being used as intended, makes no difference and its great not dealing with side zips and stuff with a pack on. But when I wear it for walking the dog during a 5 day stretch of rain I do forget they're not there.
Pockets, vents, hood, everything about this has been made to perform and it does it well. Favorite feature is a little elastic piece on the front of the hood to keep it covering your hat or helmet and it's just the little consideration that keeps me coming back to feeling lucky I own this thing.

Great ProductAbsolutely met my expectations. This is a great product. Robust in deep wood and well designed for all moves required in mountaineering and outback skiing. Not the smallest to pack but pick the Pack lite for this if this is a key feature for you. As indicated in the description, sizing is on the small side. So if you are the limit of a size and wish to put multiple layers underneath the Jacket, I recommend you chose the bigger size
Could you tell me the length and width of L(large) and XL(extra large) size below?
Asked by: dekachannel
Thanks for reaching out! Looks like we only have the size Extra Large in stock. The center back length is 31.5" and the chest width is 20.5" (measured from armpit to armpit.). I hope this helps!
