Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Very nice tentThis tent is very light, easy to set up, and can be used throughout the year.
The nets that keep the bugs out are very comfortable.
We used the first Direct 2 tent and had problems setting it up, but the AC2 tent is an improvement.
The colors are great!

I want to love but I can’t breathe!On multiple trips, with low temps ranging from 30 degrees to 10 degrees both me and whoever has been sleeping in the tent with me haven’t been able to breathe after an hour in the tent. Yes the vents were open! On the coldest night we even opened the door but it was too cold and we had to move to the truck. It is scary when you open the door and are suddenly able to breathe again. I understand condensation is inevitable but it is intense on cold nights with two people. I can’t imagine if the tent were covered in snow what could happen. Still looking for answers as no one has been able to provide a refund or explanation.

Lightweight, waterproof and bomber so far!This review might be a little premature because I've only taken the tent on one trip, so take it with a grain of salt....but here are my initial impressions after a one-night backpacking trip up in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
This is my first single-walled tent, and I love the ease of setup. A huge benefit of this design is that the tent can be fully sealed and waterproof during the entire setup, so you could build it up even during a crazy snow storm and have a dry interior afterwards. The sleeved pole design seems a little bit old-school, but I think it makes sense for this design since it really distributes the load across the whole length of the poles. It's slightly more annoying to push the poles through the sleeves than to connect a bunch of clips, but ultimately it's still a very fast setup and breakdown once you get used to it.
The tent has a good number of guy-out points, and it also includes a bunch of guy lines which are perfect for dead-man staking under the snow. With a lot of guy-out tension, this tent can do well in pretty extreme weather conditions. We had very high winds throughout the night, and my friends with 3-season tents spent the whole night worried their tents would - I quote - "just explode". Meanwhile, the AC2 was bomber, even though I didn't guy out as many lines as I would have if I knew we'd have so much wind.
The door design is really nice, giving you individual control over the inner mesh door and the outer waterproof door; it also provides a third vent to improve ventilation, which is already pretty good from the front and back hooded vents as long as you align the tent in the direction of the wind. An important note: to stay safe in a 10,000mm waterproof shelter like this one, you MUST have the vents open during the night. The risk of suffocation is real for this type of tent, so MAKE SURE to open your vents!
Condensation was present in the morning, but it wasn't too bad; there were ice crystals on the tent wall above me and on the top of my sleeping bag, but it was pretty minimal. You can battle this by opening up the top of the door, but that of course comes with some additional heat loss.
The size of the tent is roomy for one person, and the weight is just right for alpine backpacking, ski touring, etc. If you want to fit two people and gear in here, I think the vestibule is really a requirement.
The packed size is very reasonable for a 4-season tent. You could even pack it down more in a compression sack if you really need some extra space in your pack.

Light weight, real 4 season tent!I love the full mesh front door, its truly a 4 season tent now. Owning a EV 2, the problem was the condensation and venting. My only gripe about the new AC2 is the sleeved pole design, this design seems to take the longest time and is a design low quality tents use. The old previous clip design was the easiest and fastest especially on high climbs which being out in the cold and wind because very dangerous.

Killer backpacking tent!Picked this guy up as a birthday present to myself for all season camping and backpacking. Keeps the elements out and is nice and comfy as a single person tent with plenty of space for equipment. Have not used as a two person tent yet but I'm sure I will at some point!

My best tent.This tent shows its power on narrow, steep ridges.
Wind resistance is high, giving you only peace of mind on dangerous routes.
On difficult alpine routes, it is a prerequisite that the doorway is on the short side.

What Does the Mountain Hardwear Limited Lifetime Warranty Cover?
Mountain Hardwear's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the practical lifetime of Mountain Hardwear brand products manufactured by Mountain Hardwear or its affiliates. Only original, unaltered, and unmodified materials and workmanship are covered by their policy. The limited lifetime warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper care, misuse, accident, neglect, or the natural breakdown of materials over time. Products should be returned to Mountain Hardwear for evaluation. Items with defects in materials and workmanship will be repaired or a Virtual Merchandise Credit will be issued. Damages due to improper care or accident may be repaired at a reasonable rate. This policy is applicable to United States customers only.
How Long Does the Limited Warranty Last?
This Limited Lifetime Warranty lasts for the practical life of the product. Coverage ends if you sell or transfer the product. Proof of purchase may be required.
What Will Mountain Hardwear Do?
Their Warranty Department will inspect the product at no charge to you. If the Warranty Department determines, in its sole discretion, that the product has a defect covered under this Limited Warranty, they will repair or issue a Virtual Merchandise Credit equivalent to the MSRP value within approximately four weeks of inspection. Depending on the season or product, it may take longer to repair certain items. Mountain Hardwear will discard your product if your product is covered under their limited warranty policy. If you would like your original product returned instead of a Virtual Merchandise Credit, please check the box on the printable warranty form or call them no later than 10 days after you ship your product at 800-953-8398.
