The Merrell Women's Moab 3 Waterproof Shoe is a leather hiking shoe for putting in trail miles through a variety of weather situations. This shoe starts off with pig suede leather and mesh at the upper, backed with a waterproof, breathable membrane so you can push through rain, unexpected light snows, and dry days without slowing. Shallow creeks, no problem, but if it spills over the top, you're still going to have wet feet. A molded nylon arch shank provides support on uneven terrain, with Merrell Air Cushion at the heel for comfort and rebound as you plant your foot. A trusty 5mm lug depth grabs hold of the pathways, with the Vibram TC5+ rubber outsole providing non-marking grip and durability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Laces I wore these Moab 3 Waterproof shoes on a recent trip to Colombia. They were quite comfortable, but the right shoelace is about 2 inches shorter that the left shoelace. I was able to double knot the left shoe but not the right shoe, so the right lace opened a few times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not waterproof So supportive, great grip, definitely not waterproof. My toes get a bit wet after only a short walk in rain, puddles, or slush. If you walk for awhile your socks will be wet at the toe by the end. I would say they’re fairly water resistant at best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design for a "wide" shoe I had to return these shoes because they were too narrow. That is right, I ordered wide shoes and they were too narrow. My feet have not changed since the last time I ordered these shoes in regular or wide, but the shoe design has. In addition to not being wide enough, the toe has a taper to it. I like to wear thick socks when I go on a long hike, and the wide shoe has accommodated that in the past, but not any more. Even with regular hiking socks that are not too thick, this shoe is narrow at the toes. I am sorry Merrell had to change a good thing because the Moabs have been my go-to hiking shoes for several years now.

Is the Women's Merrill Moab 3 available in a wide? What colors does the Moab 3 wide come in? What other low women's hiking boots are available in a size wide?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The Merrell Women's Moab 3 Waterproof Shoe has a regular width last but is available in a wide. At this moment it looks like we have the most of the Brindle colorway is available in wides. If you are interested in other wide lasted shoes, check out footwear from KEEN, who make their boots with naturally wide toe boxes. I hope this helps!
