Rated 4 out of 5 by Em777 from WEAR-ALL-DAY COMFORT, BUT... As I am home most days, this shoe provides enough structure and cushion comfort for my foot to be worn all day -- it's like a second skin. It's better than any slipper or sneaker. I gave it four stars because walking up and down carpeted stairs is a challenge. The sole at the heel is long, jutting out from the back of the shoe; unless I consciously move down to the next step, purposely placing my foot at least a couple of inches forward from the rise of the step, the shoe catches on the carpet. I've tripped far too many times. There's no running down the staircase in these shoes.

I ordered an 8 and they are true to size. Wore them hiking in Sedona; even had some snow up in the mountain—the traction on the sole kept me where I was supposed to be!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nancy from Suffocating! I love Merrill shoes & sandals and have several pair. These looked great online so I bought a pair. They fit fine when I tried them on. Then I went for a walk and the tops of my feet felt like they were strapped down by a tight ace bandage. The top of the shoe comes up so high towards the ankle that my feet felt trapped and suffocating. I had to go back home and change into my normal sneakers. I’m so disappointed! I can’t return them as I wore them briefly outside. So I’ll have to give them away or something. Lesson learned. I’ll go into a store next time to try things on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wanda T from Really wanted to love them! I was replacing a beloved Merrell pair with a similar style. I tried two sizes of this style and just couldn't do it. They were incredibly loose around the ankle. Since we're going into summer, I can't commit to wearing socks all the time. Sorry Merrell. Except for the sizing, they were perfect.
