I've had a lot of Merrells that I've put some hard hiking miles on, and while these are more for everyday wear, I know I could push 'em hard if I needed to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought these 20 months ago. They have been used moderately (3 season use, used for walking and easy trail use only, used my Moabs for most trail use). Shoes are quite comfortable and provide good support. However, outer sides are ripping extensively at the flex point and I won't be able to wear them much longer, even though there is no wear showing on the Vibram soles. I cannot recommend these shoes due to severely premature wear.
