Rated 4 out of 5 by from Backpack for Europe The size is perfect for me as 5' 4" woman. Could be slightly bigger but will work for an 11-day trip if I pack carefully. Already did a test packing run and everything fit quite easily. Straps help make sure everything is secure. Definitely will use the backpack for some other backpacking trips. Love the color and the back support. One thing that sold me was that the backpack can open like a luggage bag. Glad I won't have to be digging around trying to find clothes and other items.

How do I measure my torso height?  I’m shortwaisted, and need to make sure I get the pack that fits me best.

Asked by: Deb66
Hey there Deb66, good question! The is a pretty simple three step process to find an accurate torso height measurement, you will need someone's help to make things a little easier. 1. Tilt your head forward and feel for the bony bump where the slope of your shoulders meets your neck. This is your 7th cervical (or C7) vertebra—and the top of your torso length. 2. On each side of your body, slide your hands down the ribcage to the top of your hip bones (aka the iliac crest). With index fingers pointing forward and thumbs pointing backward, draw an imaginary line between your thumbs. This spot on your lumbar is the bottom of your torso measurement. 3. Stand up straight and have your friend measure the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line between your thumbs. That’s your torso length. I hope this helps!!
