The Marmot Sawtooth Sleeping Bag is a 15°F sleeping bag for backpacking in cool to cold weather. The inside has been packed with 650 fill power Down Defender insulation, which is treated to provide water resistance against condensation and poor weather conditions. Your bag stays drier so you stay warmer throughout the night. Saw some logs while snuggling in with the draft collar wrapped softly at the neck. When it's time to move on to the next camp, utilize the included stuff sack to compress the bag down into a neat little package. Marmot Down Defender

Marmot Down Defender
Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping when exposed to water or moisture. This allows it to keep its loft, which equates to greater insulation. Nothing will stop the specially treated, highly water-resistant down from trapping warm air next to your body.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed and affordable down sleeping bag This is a well designed sleeping bag. The foot box leaves plenty of extra room to move around without any ankle contorting. The hood fits perfectly as well and stays in place when sitting up or moving around! When cinched down it covers the forehead and eyes first leaving an opening to breath. I have one other mummy sleeping bag where the foot box and hood design are an entirely different story. The zipper is smooth and easy to use, my one complaint about the bag as a whole so far is that there is a bit of fabric right by the head that the zipper tends to catch on. My first night with the bag had a low around 28°F. I stayed plenty warm and didn't notice any cold spots. While I haven't been able to take it out on a colder night, it felt like it would have no problem handling cooler weather than that. One nice feature I found right when un-boxing is that this bag ships with 2 stuff sacks. One is a large mesh storage bag with labels for what sleeping bag is in it. The other is a stuff sack (7.5inX16in) that the bag easily packs into, there is no compression on the stuff sack so with the right bag this could have a smaller pack size still.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the price, it does everything and more I've had this bag for over 4 years now and I've taken it on countless trips. From overnights in the foothills of South Carolina, to backpacking in the high mountains of Colorado, its been a staple of my camping gear. Its a perfect soldier for the southern Appalachian mountains where the weather doesn't normally dip down below 0. I've pushed the bag to about 5 degrees several times and I while I wasn't sweating, I certainly wasn't freezing to death. It packs down to a pretty decent size and weight, but for the price range you wont find a bag that does all three as good as this guy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one is a total toaster! Prefix: I'm about as cold of a sleeper as they come. I start by looking at the temperature rating, by gender, picking the female/cold rating, and then I add another 10 degrees to that number, and that's what it is worth to me. The bag says "15F", I'm thinking, add a few for me being a cold sleeper, add another 10 for luck, I'm thinking 30F is what it's good for. Unfortunately for a cold sleeper, I love winter backpacking! Especially a good snowy hike. I camped out on top of dense packed snow, at 26 degrees. The temperature dropped to 12 degrees for most the night, with very high winds. I brought a thin liner, which I broke out realizing it was going to be getting cold that night. I was very comfortable all night! I was on a sleeping pad rated to around 4 RV. I love the large toebox. Not having your toes jammed against a freezing zipper has to be worth a few more degrees of warmth. I sleep with a pair of socks on, and light clothing. I'm 6'1" - 170lbs - I got the long size, and if you're over 6' I'd totally recommend the larger size. I have consistently regretted getting a regular length, and finding out 6' was the absolute max the bag could hold as intended. If you are one hair over 6' I'd recommend the long bag. I'm not going to comment on long-term durability. I'd like to get a couple of seasons into it before anything like that. Obviously it is looking good so far but it is too early to tell. Lastly the bag compresses nicely, for the warmth it offers. Again, I recommend you pair it with some kind of liner if you are taking it down into the temperature range I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sleeping bag! Bought this down bag because I needed something light and compactible. When The box arrived I didn’t think anything was in there because it was so light. Bag comes with a large mesh storage bag And stuff sack. Never store down in a stuff sack or it will ruin it. its very warm and very cool looking. Overall I’m pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and lightweight We bought this bag for our son a year ago and he camped in it all summer in Grand Teton National Park and some very cold high altitude temps. He stayed warm and loved how lightweight it was. So now we are purchasing another one as a gift for our daughter who plans to spend the summer backpacking in Yellowstone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great all-around cold weather sleeping bag! I purchased this sleeping bag for a camping trip to Zion National Park in late-October. I ended up pairing this bag with a Therm-a-rest NeoAir XTherm sleeping pad and have no regrets doing so. It packs down light and small to fit in the bottom of my 65L backpack. Temperatures dipped to around 30-35 degrees on a few nights and this sleeping bag was more than enough with a set of mid-weight wool long underwear and top. I was downright toasty for much of the night and unzipped the bottom portion of the bag to get some air circulating. I should note that I do sleep rather warm though so this may be a different story for those cold sleepers out there. I have no doubt this bag would suit most for below freezing temperatures to around 25 degrees. The small compartment at the foot of the sleeping bag is super useful for putting a hand warmer inside to keep those toes warm and increase your overall warmth. There are warmer and lighter options out there but this is definitely one of the best bang for your buck options out there when paired with a quality pad if you need a cold weather sleeping bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made! Comfortable and Warm! Purchased for a lengthy backpacking trip on the Colorado Trail. After researching several other brands and styles in various stores, made decision to purchase this one after testing it in store. I knew immediately it was the "right" one for me. As a female over 5'6", the "regular" women's sizes were not quite long enough, which I knew would be very frustrating. This bag felt roomy enough in length and the additional foot box cut was a definite plus for me, as my feet need room to move around and I knew I would have room to wear additional booties if needed. (if my feet are warm, I can sleep) I also love the cut of the head area and the draw cords there; the shape held a small inflatable backpacking pillow perfectly so that it didn't slide around during the night! The only negative thing I could say about this bag is that, when laying on my side, I don't have quite enough room to position my legs as comfortably as I'd like, but that is kind of a given for a mummy style bag. All in all, extremely pleased with this purchase!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sleep ever Had about a year now, switched over from a blue kazoo I had for ten years. Both a great, but I found the marmot a little easier to compress. Warm and dry, nuff said.
