The Marmot Men's Trail Wind Hoody is a wind-resistant jacket for traveling light into the woods. The 100% polyester ripstop fabric tosses wind to the side and has been coated in a durable water repellent finish to provide water resistance as well. At just under 6 ounces, it packs into its own pocket so it's hardly noticeable in your backpack. The adjustable hood, elastic cuffs, and elastic drawcord hem all bring the open ends closer to the body, deterring drafts from entering the jacket.

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works I purchased the Trail Wind Hoody in June 2018. So far, it fits well (size Medium - I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, long torso). Holds up to the wind but breathable due to the armpit holes. I've worn it during trail runs in Northern Arizona while lightly raining. Remember to bring a plastic bag for your phone if you're going to run in the rain as the jacket is only water resistant. The pocket holds my iPhone 5s just fine but might have trouble with a larger phone (I didn't try). Because it is so light weight, expect a phone or media player to weigh down the pocket. Didn't bother me too much, but I recommend holding your phone or using an arm band while running with the jacket. Like with most lightweight jackets, be careful with the zipper or you might end up zipping the jacket fabric into the zipper. It's a useful jacket for running in the elements and I recommend it for that. The color is visible to cars, etc without being garish. Would prefer more reflective elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Windbreaker! Bought this jacket about 3 weeks ago, and I've probably worn it EVERY day since. I live in the PNW, where it can be windy and raining one minute, and sunny the next. This jacket is light and versatile for every situation. I just took a trip to San Fran, and I LOVE the ability to fold the jacket into it's chest pocket and strap to my backpack. It was super convenient.. and as you can see in the pic, it was much needed against that Pacific wind! Lastly, the PIT VENTS ROCK!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, Packable Perfection My closet is full of Marmot gear (yes, I'm a junkie), and this is my go-to. I wear this hoody on a *daily*, I don't wear the same one - I have 3 (darker blue, red, green) in rotation. The Trail Wind Hoody is the perfect weight for comfortable wear anytime.....light as air, and cuts the wind like a knife. I wear it at work and home, while hiking, running, mountain biking.....just mainly when I'm breathing. I have layered this over my Marmot fleece when camping in colder/windy bulk in my pack makes me a very happy camper. Not sure what mad-scientist-lab these jackets were created in, but I have no snags, holes or tears after 3 years - I love the material! *In full disclosure, the reflective lettering on my 1st generation Trail Wind Hoody has peeled off....kind of a bummer, but after thousands of uses I cannot complain. I do wish I could fix it with replacement lettering or something....but I guess it doesn't matter, because I'm wearing it right now!! Marmot, if you're listening.....AQUA + Trail Wind Hoody

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hoodie for thickers runners Though I've dropped a good amount if weight over 4 years if running, my physique is not a typical runner's. In short, stocky, and have a thicker trunk with broad shoulders. This hooie is awesome. It fits perfect and maintains my body temperature just right in all weather conditions. Ive run in it here at humid cold sea level as well as alpine trail runs. Marmot fits me well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect light weight wind protection This purchase was intended as a very light wind breaker for boating and hiking. It's very light and packs into a tiny package. I use it in warmer weather when cooling wind is just too much with just a t-shirt. It's perfect for what I bought it for!
