Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't find a better shell for the money! This is my second Marmot Precip (I actually gave my well-loved old one to a homeless guy). I have no idea what the Eco part means - sustainable materials and/or manufacturing processes, I imagine - but fit and performance-wise this jacket rocks! And for $100?! Whaaaa?? Several things I love, in no particular order: 1) It's roomy enough for an insulating layer, but not huge. 2) Pit zips vent really well. 3) It drapes well; not as crinkly as other shells I own. 4) The hood stows well to form a high collar. 5) Doesn't seem to wet out like an R** shell I have, and feels less tacky inside. 6) I had hoped to get green, but the blue is a great shade, between navy and royal - kind of a deep marine blue. 7) Good sized YKK main zipper, not a tiny-toothed one.
