Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.

Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
Marmot Down Defender
Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping when exposed to water or moisture. This allows it to keep its loft, which equates to greater insulation. Nothing will stop the specially treated, highly water-resistant down from trapping warm air next to your body.

very good[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using this jacket for three years now and I can vouch for it. The features, cut, details, and overall quality of fabrics and design is very high. It is very lightweight, the hand pockets are soft and warm, and the hood fits over a helmet. I have used it for any cold weather activity from walking the dog to backcountry skiing.

Men’s Guides Down Hoody[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The men’s Guides Down Hoody is an excellent coat. Not a Expedition or Denali jacket, but perfect for a packable backcountry skiing coat. The price is right. I bought it for a ski descent of the north side of Mt Shasta and for a light warm outer layer. Thank you Marmot for forty years of making great gear for my life in the mountains

Excellent coat - could use improvement on wrists[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My older coat of the same model was worn out and had construction paint / other materials blemishing its surface so I went for a new one to wear around town. Overall warm as described, and weighs the exact same as the same model coat I purchased 4 years ago. I love the fit, length, and bulk of this coat. My one star deduction comes from the sleeve openings around the wrist. For some reason, my new coat has sharp edges around the area where the velcro meets. It pushes up past the remaining coat material and I'm constantly feeling it dig into my wrists. I'm hoping it disappears with wear and washing, but it is not comfortable for now.

Needs more downThis could be a great jacket, but... it needs more down, partacilary the sleeves. This is a common theme on current down jackets, i tested 5 of them. This one was nice, but not warm in the arms. Buyer remorse. btw; i think down jackets should be rated by loft and weight - just like sleeping bags. i'm 170lbs, purchased a large.
On the positive side; it fit well, the draw-string at the bottom did not interfer with the zipper, the zipper is the beefy durable type. The hood was warm, fit well. NIce... execpt it needs more down.

Exactly what I wanted[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in August as my everyday jacket for winter. I wear it around town, walk to work in it and as a photographer I've used it for some early morning shoots. It has kept me warm in as low as minus ten degrees without any huge amount of layering underneath. Below that you might want something a little beefier. I'd say Marmot is right on the money with this jacket.
Hi, im 5'9, chest 44, shoulders 19,69. what size choose i order? ) Thanks

Hiya, thanks for your question! Based on your description, I would recommend size large. By the way, there is a shortcut link to a size guide located under the drop down size menu. Hope this helps!

How many grams/ounces of down does the jacket have?
Asked by: Juda
Hey Juda, thanks for the question! Let me go double-check that with our friends over at Marmot and hopefully they can tell me just how much of that 700 Fill Down is used in this hoody. I'll be back with some more information for you as soon as possible!

Which Marmot shells will this guides 700 fil zip into?
Asked by: Lucky
Hey Lucky, thanks for the question! I talked to our friends over at Marmot, and sadly Guide Down Hoody is not zip-in compatible and will not zip in to any current Marmot shells. It can absolutely still be layered, just not physically zipped together. Sorry about that, but I hope this helps!

How wind resistant is this jacket?
Asked by: Julius
Hey there,
Thanks for the question. Marmot unfortunately does not provide a specific measurement or parameter for exactly how wind-resistant this is or to what MPH winds this will withstand, but feedback says that this is great against the wind. You should be comfortable wearing it even in weather with higher winds.

just ordered a replacement Marmot Stockholm. Then saw this. Is this coat as warm as the Stockholm? Also, does it size similar. I normally where xl but had to get xxl in Stockholm. If this is as warm, might consider changing my order.
Thanks
Asked by: steve
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Did you know that the Stockholm was named after the city Stockholm? And the Guides jacket is named....after a group of guides. I guess. Idk. So, I pulled up this info and I'm seeing that the difference in warmth should be negligible. Both the Stockholm and the Guides have a 700 fill power down with down defender, so neither one will be better! And, for the sizing, both of these are a regular fit, so that will be the same. Hope this helps you out! Hugsies!!
