The Marmot Limelight 2P Tent is a quick pitch tent for camping and backpacking. Three tent poles, a tent body, rainfly and an included footprint, all in one package. The updated version doesn't just have two doors, one of them is oversized, so on a clear night you can open the vestibule wide on that side and soak in the stars. Come morning you'll have a wide view of your surroundings. Plenty of mesh at the upper half helps breezes flow on warm summer nights while the pre-bent legs of the poles maximize the vertical space. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is your one way ticket to Tentsville This is the tent you need without paying for the tent you think you want but don't need. Sturdy, rugged, (surprisingly) appealing color, and with great features. It's not the lightest tent on the market, but I personally tend to trade off durability and ease of use/care for some weight. When I buy camping gear I want it to last. Previous tents I have owned were longer, which lead for much better "dog space", but the vertical walls on this tent make it feel much more spacious - and the room you do have is much more usable. The two collapsible vents on the rain fly are like putting a fried egg on a cheese burger... take something already good and make it that much better. The large door is really handy and almost the size of the entire wall; which makes it really great if you're camping with really large stuffed animals that you won at the county fair, or if you needed to park a small vehicle inside. Items of note: - Foot print/ground cloth included. Bonus. - Stakes are substantial and adequate but not mind blowing. It's odd that stakes are even something people consider or care about on a tent... but it's a real concern. Seriously. - There are two doors and two vestibules, but one vestibule is larger than the other. Both are adequate. - The corner attachments for the poles don't "latch" into place during set up - they just slide into the fabric stake out tab. I occasionally have a corner pole pop out when I walk to the other corner to affix the opposing side. But once you're set up, you're good. - The orange rain fly color is actually pretty nice to wake up to. Bright and cheery, but not obnoxious. - There are some nice organizer pockets on the side and a couple really dopey ones on the ceiling that I'm not sure what are there for. - Zippers are nice and easy to handle and avoid snags while feeling very durable. - Tent stakes out nice and taut giving a really sturdy feel (haven't tested in high winds) - Have not had a chance to test against rain or storms yet. (Will update if I ever have the displeasure of camping in a rainstorm.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I bought this for my 6'4" son and he fits in a great! Lots of room to sit up in! Definitely recommend this tent. I love Marmot products, they last and are tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tent for 2 person backpacking I have used this tent several times. The tent is very roomy and comfortable for 2 persons. The tent length is more then enough to have some space for stuff. Very easy to set up! The only disadvantage is packed length for backpacking, the length is quite long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent for my needs I'm an Assistant Scout Master with a Boy Scout Troop. Last week was Summer Camp. I was there Monday night, set up my tent and left it until I came back on Friday night. Stayed clean, bug free and sturdy. I could not be happier with my purchase.

Hi,  How can I tell if the rainfly is good? I have an MRS tent with 20D 1200mm, and this tent has 68D 1500mm. Which one is the best?

Asked by: Henry
Thanks for the question! "D" stands for denier - which means density. The higher the density, the stronger & thicker the fabric. It is important to realize this will increase the weight. A fabric’s waterproof rating, measured in millimeters, refers to the pressure at which water is able to press through fabric. A 1500 mm rating means the fabric can sustain 1,500 mm of water on top of the fabric before it can leak. Again, the higher the number, the more weight that will add. If weight is not an issue for you, then I would get the higher numbers. Hope this helps!

What is the max height inside this tent. I see the dimensions but not sure which is height / width.  Nancy

Asked by: Nancy
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! This is a great question to go over, as I sometimes get confused as well. Sometimes the normal order gets used in an odd way. For this item, the height will be 43", and the area of the floor will be 54 x 88". Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.
