Rated 2 out of 5 by MAG5 from Slippery When Wet I’ve been wearing Lowa boots for over twenty years and love them. These shoes…not so much. The grip in wet weather hiking is horrible. It’s like walking on ice, seriously. Even on a tile floor of the sole is wet is nothing short of dangerous. Unimaginable that a Lowa Gortex hiker is made with a sole that is useless in the rain. With that being said, it’s a comfortable (dry) day hiking shoe. It’s heavier than some of its competitors but the midsole provides so much more support on rocky terrain I feel like it’s worth the weight penalty. I hike 30-40 miles a week on hilly, rocky single track. These shoes are fine for dry weather but no kidding, don’t get caught it the rain.

I still only wear Lowa hiking boots but have started wearing some other shoes as well. These shoes reminded me why I was so enamored with Lowa shoes in the first place - they are the highest quality shoes and fit me superbly well. I've had these for about a month and they still feel new after regular wear. I imagine they will last for years. I bought them to replace some Salomon shoes I had been wearing for a few years to work out. These are amazing shoes - high quality manufacturing. Of course, you pay for that quality, but if you want the best, you have to pay for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Canyonhiker from I really wanted to love this shoe. But,... I bought this pair of shoes because I've had great luck with Lowa shoes. This style however, runs narrow. I ordered a 12, normally wear 11.5. Still too narrow. I did like the color of these shoes, not as "green" as in the pictures (good thing), more of a mint grey and the style was great. I returned these and ordered a different pair from a different manufacturer, there were no 12.5's. Will no doubt review that other pair in the near future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PromoKode aka SlimKeto from Great Features, just not the right fit for me I tried these out along with a handful of other hikers - I prefer wide toe-box trail runners but need something a little more substantial for trips this fall - and I heard great things about Lowa from my friend and podiatrist who owns a comfort/orthotic shoe store so it was a lofty recommendation. They look great and have nice features, but they just didn't feel right when I tested them. Not necessarily a knock on the shoe, but that's why I gave it 'Average'
