Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I have a number of La Sportiva boots. They are all well-made, comfortable and functional. These boots are not exception. They are fairly comfortable on the approach, and they shine once you are climbing. I cannot believe how light and warm they are. It really is quite a difference when compared to my old Nepal Evos..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boot for less brutal weather Nice and light, and in limited use seems to strike a good balance between the super-stiff sole and lower volume necessary for technical mountaineering and the flexibility necessary for approaches. I haven't used these ice climbing yet, but based on experience with past boots I expect them to perform very well. The sole rubber seems hard enough to be fairly durable, but only time will truly tell, so take that with a grain of salt. Warmth is good for the weight, though it's important to recognize for your toes' sake that the lower volume that makes this boot climb so well also means limits on warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good boot, don't like the tongue insert Good, solid boot. Works well with my yaktrak micro's (XL) and g12 crampons (extender bar) too. Usually a 47, got a 47.5. One thing I don't like is the tongue insert, good I suppose for drying faster, but seems like a hassle. Well two things I guess, don't like the advertisement on the side, so I dyed it black and it blends well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BOOM! - I wear a US size 11 in a nike shoe, a 11D in a redwing boot, and a 11 in pretty much everything. Bought these in a 45. they fit me awesome with fat wool socks and still leave a bit of room in the toes for kicks and downhill. - B.D. crampons are great with them. - O.R. Crocs are great with em too - these are super tough, durable, light, and dry - pretty comfy out of the box if you're used to boots - got em for rainier

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First time use Recently I used them at Pico de Orizaba and they worked perfectly, I had no trouble with the crampons and the insulation kept my feet at a decent temperature. Great Design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Light, Stiff w/ just a bit of Flex, great fix to the original EVO LaSportiva has had a gap in their product line for years which I think they have filled beautifully with the Nepal Cube. Their entry into a serious hiking boot starts with the Pamirs but they are too light, to much flex, no insulation, but great to hike in all day. The KORAKORUMS are medium stiffness, crampon compatible, medium insulation, good to hike all day, but you will get wet in heavy snow. Then the EVO, which is Super Stiff, Heavy Insulation, never get wet in heavy snow, indestructible, but near painful for full day hiking (to heavy and stiff) more of a technical only boot. There is nothing in between the Korakorum and the EVO until the NEPAL CUBE. It has a 2 week break-in, medium stiff flex, suffer a bit on all day hiking but do-able, breathable heavy insulation, built like a tank, never get wet. The weight, medium stiff flex and breathability lets you do both hiking and technical with them. I was switching between Korakorums & Baruntse, but now I just use the Cubes only!

Would the Petal Lynx crampons be compatible with these boots?

Asked by: Gadjo
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us. This is one of the best questions we've ever received...and I'm proud to say that I've found the answer! The Petzl (not 'Petal', I assume that was an auto correct) Lynx will fit on any boot with a rear welt...and these boots do have a rear welt! So, yes, Petzl Lynx crampons are compatible for this boot. Hope this helped out!

I purchased a pair of these in size 48 in February 15', but had to return them cause college is expensive. But now that I actually have the expendable cash, you guys no longer carry them in 48. Can't find them anywhere, whats the deal?

Asked by: SZilla
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we do not have that size in stock, but keep in mind, we're getting new inventory every day! I'd suggest checking the site periodically and hopefully we'll have those in soon. Hope this helped you out.

Do you suggest going up a half size?

Asked by: Climber
Thanks for reaching out to us. For La Sportiva it is recommended that you go up a size for the best fit. I hope this helps.

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! First off, as a fellow punctuation enthusiast (!) I commend you on your uses!!! And, sadly, we don't have that boot in stock. %#$@%.! BUT, not all is lost. LA SPORTIVA SIZE and FIT NOTES
• La Sportiva footwear is built and offered on European half sizes, which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives them four extra sizes per size run, and ultimately gives you a better fit.
• Find your US Size in the guide above, then find the Euro Size conversion and ADD ONE HALF SIZE.
• The ideal size holds your toes ever so slightly away from the front of the boot while the lacing system is snug across the top of your arch.
• If you can try to boots on beforehand, make sure you wear the same size and weight socks you would typically wear with the boots, and any orthotics or custom footbeds you use.
• It is ideal to fit boots later in the day since feet are prone to swell slightly as a day progresses.
• Wear your boots indoors only until you are confident about the fit.
• Your foot should feel snug (not tight) from the arch back into the heel pocket with just a minimum lift as you walk. If your heel lifts make sure the lacing is snug and not too loose.
• Your toes should NOT touch the front of the boot, but when you kick the toe into the floor, you should know where the front of the boot is. You want just enough room to wiggle your toes.
• If your toes or sides of your feet feel squished, most likely the width is too narrow and the boot will not work for you.
• If your toes touch the front of the boot, most likely it is too short and you need the next half size up.
• Make sure to keep all original packaging that came with your boots until you are sure that you are happy with your purchase.
