Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:

All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.

All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.

The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.

Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:

You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.

Earning MJ$:

All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).

Checking & Redeeming MJ$:

On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.

Bonus Rewards Promotions:

Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!

MJ$ on Gift Cards:

You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.

Product Returns and MJ$:

If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.

Program Abuse:

The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

The La Sportiva Men's Bushido II Shoe is a stable shoe for mountain trail running. The sock-like fit is secured by traditional laces, with a padded tongue for comfort. The upper has AirMesh with thermal adhesive microfiber, high frequency welded ripstop and a TPU toe cap for breathability with abrasion-resistance. A 4mm midsole stabilizes and cushions and the FriXion® XT 2.0 V-Groove2™ outsole is sticky for grip on wet and dry surfaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Owshtin from Go-to mountain shoe I wore this shoe for the first 60 miles of a 100 mile jungle run in Hawaii. It is the absolutely perfect shoe for the terrain. It dries well, has fantastic traction on the slippery roots and rocks, and offers unbeatable protection. I highly recommend it for any technical running. It’s slightly heavy but it’s worth it if you have sharp obstacles you will be covering. I ordered a 9.5 which fit perfectly—and I am normally 9 US.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PMC from Not just for trails. I just bought my third pair of these terrific shoes. I am a power walker (mostly on paved streets) and these shoes provide excellent support and sure footedness and are super comfortable. Also, I no longer have any foot, knee joint or back pain since switching to the Bushido II (I am a 60 year old male averaging 25 miles per week). An added bonus: once I hit the mileage max for exercise, the "retired" pair are still in good shape and are excellent for ambling walks and yard work. Few clothing/footwear purchases have been so satisfying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Glapu from The Best Trail Runners Absolutely loving these shoes so far! Comfortable and holding up nicely to the sharp, lava rock covered tracks I'm frequenting. They look great too. Definitely need to size up though. I usually wear an 11 and 12 was the correct fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trail Hiker from Excellent Hiking Shoe I bought a pair of these for long distance hiking as I am planning to do the Camino de Santiago next year. I have about 400 km (250 miles) on these so far and there seems to be no wear to the upper and only minor scratches to the soles. They are tough, have excellent traction and work well with a moderate weight pack (15-16 lbs). These are well know in the trail running community but should really be considered for fast packing. Stability is excellent and the rock plate in the forefoot does its job without adding excessive weight. A high quality product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jbinsb from My favorite hiking shoe. They run small! Love these shoes. They hug my narrow feet and have plenty of shock resistance. I hike 10 or 11 miles with a full pack on steep, rocky terrain and all's good. The grip is insane. The laces stay tied. So responsive and laterally stiff enough when off-camber. They do run quite small. I usually wear an 11 in a hiking shoe and had to get a 12.5. I MIGHT be able to get away with a 12, but the 12.5 is great. Toe crashes ruin any trip. I wish the studs on the sole were wearing a bit more slowly. Only reason they get 4 and not 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by stroman from great shoe, RUNS VERY SMALL I bought this shoe as a general kick around shoe and have added it into my running shoe rotation and went a head and ordered a second pair to have ready when the time comes. This shoe runs VERY small. I normally wear a 45 and after two returns am wearing a 46.5 and could easily wear a 47.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DfireballD from Excellent all around shoe Replaced my Scarpa Speedbeats with these and this shoe performs great on hikes and scrambles. The bottom sole is flat and the rubber for the “green” level of sole is very sticky yet has also held up well on numerous hikes on very sharp rock. Runs well too and has good breathability. Very happy with these after doing 4 big hikes so far. I have a narrow foot and had to go up half a size in US sizing over my old Salewas.
