Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anti-wobble Hitch design is a differentiator I'm surprised they don't really call this feature out more because it is super cool and works well. With a few cranks of a hand knob on my 2 inch hitch receiver, it was super snug. No wobble, no clacking noises. Perfect. Also, my six year old son has a 20inch bike, so they sent me for free the 20inch adaptor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome car and bike friendly rack! I bought this rack about a month ago and amso glad that I did. Very easy to attach to vehicle and very easy to attach bike to the rack. Other racks that I still own cause damage to car and bike paint and other one requires removal of the front tire to transport bike - then you have to deal with the wheel going all over the place and possible damage to the carbon forks. A great investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great rack Much more lightweight than others, yet still just as sturdy. Doesn't wiggle or rattle on the SUV (4Runner) at all. Holds two mountain bikes firmly and they don't touch each other or the SUV. Assembly is easy and takes less than 30 minutes, especially if you watch the youtube video first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great rack! (for what specific purposes) I bought this rack with the intention of taking it on and off repeatedly since I have no garage. It has surpassed my expectations and I'm loving it. Putting it together was simple and installing it on my Outback hitch is easy. I have about a 46 inch wheelbase Santa Cruz and it just fits on there. I think if you have a 47+ inch wheelbase you will want to get a larger rack. Design-wise, it's beautiful looking and complements my gray car. Things I would change - the tile down function is convenient, but a grab-handle like Thule's X2 would be better (I also keep bumping my head on my bikes bars when I stand up after lowering it!). If the trays were expandable length-wise it could accommodate longer bikes and the rear wheel would not sit off on an angle as it does. The tightening wedge is not lockable (like the Thule X2) so I check it before driving my car. It hasn't loosened up, but a lock would be preferable. Also, the cable bike lock is not built-in but I like the design and it's simple enough to just throw in my trunk. Finally, the holder for the front tire has to be manually raised and lowered and I've already forgotten once to lower it before raising the rack and it hit the back of my car. I didn't break it but the material is not super-strong (like a hard plastic). I think with time I won't think twice about lowering it before raising the rack but it is something to be aware of. The drawbacks I mentioned are minor relative to the overall positives of the rack. I do not regret buying it and I got a great deal at Moosejaw. Again, if I had a garage, I might consider a heavier rack, such as the Kuat NV or Thule X2, but 50-60lbs vs 30lbs made my decision pretty easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are you ready for a Better Quality of Life? I picked this up as a light, easy to use 2-bike rack and have not been disappointed. It easy handles my Fargo and is super convenient to raise and lower out of the way. Total Life Upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RACK ENVY I am using the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2 bike rack on a 2016 white Subaru Crosstrek. I ordered it in white. People ask if it was custom made for my car. It matches perfectly! I previously had a Saris rack that strapped on the back of the hatch. I hated it. This rack does not need constant tightening of straps. It is secure and there are no worries of someone cutting the straps to get to the bike. I love the integrated lock and cable sytem. From the engineering of the box that you assemble it in, to the ease of use; many friends say they have Rack Envy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny This rack is super easy to use and is very secure. I have a 29" mountain bike and a road bike and it works great for both. The bikes stay put and the attachment to the car is rock-solid; there's no wobbling. It folds up close to the car when not in use and the foot pedal makes it easy to redeploy with one hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, sturdy bike rack! It is relatively easy to put on and take off the car even thought it weighs 35 pounds. The rack holds bikes securely without wobbling. Includes bike lock.

Can the 1.25in be changed to a 2in using an adapter like the older version of this model?

Asked by: Nicole
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, there is no adapter included. You would have to select either the 1.25 or 2 inch specifically. Please don't hate me.

will any size bike fit on this rack? i was told that my Trek hybrid frame is narrow and that a traditional hitch mount rack would not fit as well as a tray. would rather have this if it would work.

Asked by: valk
Hiya valk, thanks for your question! This rack can carry tires ranging from 3 inches to 700 x 18 mm. If you are loading bicycles with 20”-24” front tires, an adapter must be used. You can contact Kuat Racks directly for an adapter kit or if you have any fit questions. You can reach them at 877-822-5828, or by email at info@kuatracks.com. Hope this helps!

I'm considering a Kuat Sherpa for my new 2018 Honda Pilot. I' concerned about rack being too close to my bumper when folded up against vehicle. I have a 2 " receiver. Also will this rack fit an electra townie 26 in mens bike. wheelbase is aprox. 47 inch.

Asked by: Andy
Hey Andy! The Sherpa 2.0 has roughly 7.5 inches of clearance between the hitch pin hole and the rack when it is folded in an upright position. It fits bikes with wheelbases up to 47" and tires as large as 3", so it should work. Hope that helps!
