Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pad I have the insulated static V and bought the static v2 for summer use. Good pad. Comfortable and easy to inflate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO comfortable!! I purchased this pad because as a side sleeper my other pad just wasn't comfortable, this was so reasonably priced I thought I'd give it a try. Pros- incredibly comfortable for a side sleeper. Holds air well over night, I didn't feel any noticable air loss but gave it a couple of puffs of air before bed the second night just to be sure. Packs really small so it hardly takes any room in your pack. Really light weight! The con is it takes a lot of breath to get this fully pumped up so by the end I was light headed. Overall this is a great pad for backpacking, car camping, or throwing on the living room floor for a movie night. My 7 year regularly trys to steal this from me and give me her pad!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I had a chance to sleep on this pad in the backcountry and it was very lightweight and comfortable. However, by the end of the night the sleeping pad deflated a little and I woke up a little sore. I'd recommend over-inflating a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy, packable, affordable sleeping pad I love this pad. If you're looking for an affordable, fairly lightweight, small pack-size, durable, comfortable sleeping pad, you've found it. I've used the insulated klymit static V for years and wanted to reduce pack size and weight, which this accomplishes well. Honestly I can't tell a difference in warmth, but I haven't had this in really cold temperatures yet. I'm a skinny guy with bony hips and a side/stomach sleeper. I roll around alot at night. I never roll off this thing and never sink through to the ground. Honestly for me sleeping on this pad is just as comfortable as my bed at home. The only downsides I've found, and they are minor, is that it is a little tricky to get all the air out when packing up -- and also my pad tips the scales at 18 oz with the included the stuffsack, so it's a little heavier than advertised. One final note: Klymit's lifetime warranty is stellar, so if anything goes wrong, you know they'll take care of you. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most comfortable and lightest of mats I've had this mat for at least three years now and it has held up well and still is the lightest and smallest mat that I've ever owned while also providing comfortable side sleeping. Also very reasonably priced for how well it has worked over the years. The only issue I've ever had is that I often wake during the night to find that I'm no longer parallel to the mat, but that's likely more to blame on my sleeping habits.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Big Disappointment I bought this as a gift for my husband. I was excited to find what I perceived to be a great gift. He took it on a week long back pack trip. The first night it failed to stay inflated. It would not hold air. Luckily he had brought his old backup pad or he would have had a sleepless, miserable trip. I bought it several months before his trip so I figured it was too late to return it by the time we figured out it was defective. Word to the wise, try it out as soon as you receive it.

If you were able to buy again; would you, instead, purchase the (wider) Klymit "V- luxe" model that's 30" wide, instead of 23" ? (if additional weight was NOT the deciding factor?)

Hi there, thanks for your question! I would buy the pad that fit my bag's sleeping pad sleeve. There is no difference except for size . Sorry I don't have a better answer for you!
