Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tent except door shape We’ve used this tent on 2 family car camping tents since we got it and generally I like the space and interior pockets. We up-sized from our Kelty 4-man, so we could have more space (2 tall-ish adults, 1 kiddo, a dog, and gear). This tent is roomy and I (5’8”) can stand up in it, but it’s not so enormous that my husband is embarrassed by its size;). He really resisted a 6-man. The main disappointment with this tent is the door shape. It’s not a traditional shape and is more of a curvy triangle, making it hard to zip or un-zip the tent with one hand when you get to the left corner. You need your second hand to hold the fabric taught to be able to make the sharp triangle curve zip upwards. I thought perhaps we hadn’t staked the tent properly, but I think it’s just a poor door shape design. since going in/out of the tent easily is a large part of the experience, I took a star off. We have not camped in rain yet, so I can’t speak to that. We did camp in Texas in June and the large amount of mesh helped keep us cool at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I've only had this tent out on one trip so far but I'm impressed with the quality. It seems very well made and I expect it to hold up well over time. We didn't have any wind or rain on our trip but it feels pretty sturdy and I don't anticipate it having problems with either. I will update if I do. Its very spacious and I like the headlamp pocket as well.

Do you recommend using a seam sealer on this tent when purchased new or will the factory taped seams be sufficient waterproofing?

Asked by: Matt
Hey Matt! Great question. The factory-taped seams and use of the rain fly should provide excellent protection from the elements. I hope that helps!
