Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Great Quality PackI am a few trips in with this pack, and after a couple week I am thoroughly impressed! The Coyote 85 has room for all my weekend warrior luxuries and has me planning some 5+ day outings. Kelty continues to perform with comfort and durability, and Ive already recommended this bag to a few friends for its versatility. Kelty has knocked it out of the park again!

Great PackI purchased this for rucking/military training, and it is more comfortable than a mil-spec rucksack. The frame is contoured to the human shape, and the pack has lots of storage. The pack has been loaded with 50+ lbs of gear and has held up perfectly well. I recommend these packs to anyone looking for a strong, useful, and affordable pack.

Big Bag!I’ve used this pack on a couple camping trips. Plenty of room and pockets for all of my needs. Didn’t rub me wrong at all and is pretty comfortable. I’ve had a lot of packs and was not disappointed with this one.

Nice quality packI bought this pack for more space for winter camping gear and it fits the bill. Good overall space with pockets for organizing. The side pockets have room for Nalgene bottles with space to spare. Overall typical heavy duty Kelty quality (been usingKelty Tedwings for years.

Kelty Coyote 85I took this out on my last camping/backpacking trip during the cd weather here in Iowa. This pack has ample enough room to carry my winter load out consisting of hammock, underquilt, topquilt, hammock hot tent, extra clothes, food and other gear and i still had room inside the pack for more gear if needed. I was able to strap my wood stove to the outside of the pack and the backpack handled the weight extremely well. This bag is comfortable to wear and has plenty of adjustments to help balance and center the weight comfortably. Yes, there are other packs out there that are a little more comfortable, such as Osprey, Dueter, and Gregory, but those also come at a steeper price. For the money and the robustness of the Coyote 85, i feel you cant go wrong with this pack. This pack offered plenty of air flow across my back when carrying and is very comfortable. Im 6'1" and 200lbs and i have plenty of adjustability to get just the right fit. I gave this product 4 stars overall, price is great, durabilty is great, adjustabilty is great, and comfort is definately a step up for Kelty, but not quite the level of the above mentioned manufacturers. Kelty is on the right track but i feel they could improve the comfort a little more.

Great value, carries a heavy load very wellI purchased this pack for winter camping trips in order to carry bigger, heavier loads than the 45L and 60L packs I already have.
This is a comfortable pack that I've used to carry a 30+lb load on two short backpacking trips so far. I have been very impressed with the design, but there are some quirky things about it to get used to. This includes no stretchy front pocket, no easily accessible water bottle pockets when wearing the pack, and the zipper opening on the brain is really too small. The hip belt pockets are different than I'm used to; one is a traditional zipped pocket, the other is a stretchy one. I like the pass-through space between the top side pockets and pack body -- its a great way to securely carry tent poles and an axe. There's webbing down the pack (the 2 black strips visible in the photos) but no shock cord. I've already added some cord to hold a rain jacket etc. on the outside of the pack. This should be included by Kelty.
The fit is great after adjustments. I love the adjustability of the sternum strap - it can easily be slid up and down to fit. My other packs make me feel like strap is about to choke me as it sits too high. The torso length is also easy to adjust.
I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend it highly for people looking for a pack to carry bigger, heavier loads.

a Large Comfortable PackI Bought this to do multi day camping trips. My full pack weight hits about 43 pounds loaded. I can already tell it is way more comfortable than my old standby ALICE pack. I am 6' 4" @ 266 lbs and I think I am on the top end range of where I think this pack would fit correctly. I have it adjusted all the way out. I am also a shape not in shape. I really thought this pack would be way to big but with that said, it's shape is a bit awkward packing (or I'm just not used to it yet). I have been used to lots of outside pockets. I almost wished I had gone with the larger size but I'm still not disappointed but the pack is full.

Very well made and quality materials used for a p!This is a very well made pack, the stitching and material is quality work. I’m looking forward to using this pack for years to come out on the trail. If you’re tall like I am you’ll appreciate the adjustable lumbar padding/support. This is a customizable backpack and well worth the money.
Does the Kelty Coyote 85 have a side-entrance zipper rather than unpacking the bag to get at something in the bottom?

The Kelty Coyote 85 does not have a side-entrance zipper but it has a zipper on the bottom of the bag allowing access to the bottom of the main compartment.
