These are wide enough that they don’t feel constricting but still are supportive and hold up well when passed down through all 4 of my kids.

He gets them on/off easily (7-yr-old). Love the tread! These are not meant for hard play which is what manufacture says. Will do well in school, chill time at park or inside playdates.

I purchased these for a 5 year to wear to school with the thought of how much these shoes will take abuse and having a shoe she could wear when we go on little hikes. They are well made and my daughter loves them.

He has several different pairs of tennis type shoes, but he always gravitates toward these. They are easy to slip on and quite rugged for all the running around he does. I will continue to buy these.

This is my second pair of the same model and it was hard to find. Also 5 stars to Moosejaw for excellent and FUN shopping experience.

Are the KEEN Chandler CNX Hiking Shoes water wicking??

Hey, Janet! If you mean do they help draw moisture from the foot like certain fabrics (i.e., merino wool or capilene), no, these shoes do not feature any technology that assists with that. They are highly breathable, though, and the full upper mesh keeps the foot cool. If you are referring to waterproof or water resistance, no - these shoes are not that, either. They are super quick drying, so should some puddles be encountered, the shoe will not take long to dry. The socks, on the other hand.. Hope that helps!

HOW to MEASURE
1. Place a piece of paper against a wall.

2. Have the little human stand on the paper with their heel against the wall.

3. For both feet mark where the longest toe ends.

4. In centimeters, measure from the edge of the paper to both marks.

5. Use the longest foot measurement and match it up to a KEEN size using the size charts above.
