Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wide toe box I haven’t worn these but did try them on in the house for hours. oddly enough if I sit while wearing shoes I can tell if there’s enough room around my instep (I have high arches and the instep feels like it’s being smashed) and my feet didn’t hurt or feel like they were too small. Excellent choice for those with high arches/insteps.

Moosejaw didn't have my size at the time but Keen had just restocked. Good traction, stays dry in shallow puddles, and wet snowy grasses.

What is the difference between the II and the III?  I’ve had several Il’s...but am curious if these fit the same and are as sturdy. I like a firm and tough sole. I don’t like to feel the rocks through my shoes.

Hey KKing! The Targhee III did not change the soles, but they did change their approach to the upper material. The soles will hold up for you. BUT - they made the ankle softer and, in some opinions, less rigid making it unsuitable for off trail or bushwacking scenarios. They are comfortable on well trodden and expected descents / ascents, but if you have to do any screes or scrambles and need to ensure you have a sturdy, sure ankle and footing, the Targhee III felt wobbly. Also not very good for heavy backpacking.

How are they on 8 hrs of concrete, I work retail, and how about slush, rain ,ice snow?
