The KEEN Women's NXIS EVO Mid Waterproof Shoe is a mid-height hiking boot for moving fast on the trail. Boot-like, but feels like a shoe, the construction keeps feet light on all terrain. The KonnectFit heel capture system locks your heel in place, with plenty of cushion surrounding it for added comfort. No slipping or sliding around inside this pair. The toe cap lends the classic nod to the KEEN look as well as protection, preventing rocks from wrecking your toes. Finished off with an all-terrain, multi-directional lugged rubber outsole, you'll have plenty of grip and connection to whatever trail you take. Do you tend to take the left or right at the fork?

I bought these hiking boots as a lighter waterproof shoe for the summer months around the farm. They are comfortable and truly waterproof. I have a narrow foot. I wear the same size in these as the Targhee II. However these boots are a tight fit to get on. It’s a true struggle to push my foot down through the ankle area. The toe is very roomy. They are very supportive around the ankle.

The toe box was a little cramped on the sides and at the top of the toes with normal hiking socks on. I always go a half size up so I know that I ordered the correct size. Unfortunately I needed a wider toe box. If you have narrow feet, then this shoe will do well for you.

Seeing reviews these run a bit small we ordered 1/2 size bigger and they fit her perfectly. Keen boots are all we wear on the trail these days.

( really could use a wide but liked the shoe a lot so decided I should try it). They have an incredible cushion on the heel landing and great ankle support - I have weak ankles, sprained too many times. I take bus and have some very unlevel terrain to walk so it is important to have that support. As per usual, the KEEN advantage of wearing “out-of-the-box” is such a bonus! I have been wearing KEEN’s for a long time and will continue to do so based on all the attention to detail, craftsmanship & quality that the team puts into them. Thank you!

I had challenge with the shoe laces that open up frequently, but besides that it is perfect fit. Recommend to size up if you need some extra room, because it is true to size.
