Great sticking power and no problem pulling up without them disconnecting from my bike shoes. Wishing they had more shims as I had to come up with a 1/4" shim to get the connection plate flush with the bottom of the shoe to create a strong bond.

She pairs them with a pair of Crankbrother Mallet shoes and they go perfectly together!! She has even dropped time on our local trail due to the added efficiency of her pedal stroke. Very easy to remove a foot when needed but very planter and solid feel when plowing through the chunky stuff. Highly recommend these pedals!!

Not difficult to get your foot off in a crash, but not so weak that you don’t feel them there. Great balance.

I came from being clipped in, had wanted to try flats but worried about flying off the pedals at high speeds - these are the perfect in-between. Hold on all but the most aggressive climbs and on every downhill I’ve tried, but you can get out at any angle, and the best part is stepping in - just stop onto the pedal anywhere and it’ll hold and it’s not hard to adjust once you’re moving. Do these pedals come with the plates for your shoes?

Thanks for reaching out! The Avery REMtech Pedal comes with a set of two 56×32 mm REMplate “cleats". This pedal works with any two-bolt clipless shoe. I hope this helps!

How much float? Does it correlate to say 7 degrees of float or is it an unlimited degree? Thanks.

Hey there, thanks for your question. Thanks to the magic provided by magnets these basically have unlimited float. To release, you have to twist and peel, rolling your foot off the pedal, but just pivoting side to side is not enough to force a release. Check out the video they posted "how to release" and about 20 seconds in, there is a pretty good shot showing a rider twisting his foot to show the float in some better detail. I hope this helps

What shoes are recommended to best work with these pedals?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The magnetic cleats for these are 2 bolt so they work with most mountain bike shoes. That being said, they pair really well with the flatter style like the Five Ten Hellcats or Kestrels or similar styles from Ride Concepts. I hope this helps!
