Rated 3 out of 5 by from I might buy again. Wish it came in a C width. Use it for walking in rolling terrain in the woods of New Hampshire. Some rocky terrain. I was disappointed at how narrow the boot is through the heel, all the way up to the toe-box. The toe-box is nice and roomy. I'm a C width and have no problems with wearing regular Keen hiking boots, so thought these would fit better than they do. I feel the intrusion of the sides of the sole along my heel on the bottom of the foot. Either this softens up or I get used to it, because I don't notice it after maybe 30 minutes. The tops of the boot are not very padded at all, so if you are looking for a boot to protect your ankles from rocks, these are probably not the best. I want to love these boots, but am only at like currently. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out what justifies the high price. The waterproof liner seems to keep out the water but it seems like it doesn't let the sweat evaporate as well as the lining of other boots I have owned. I almost returned these because of the narrow fit through the heel, but like them well enough to keep them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ultra hi tor women's boot This is my second pair of this boot. Not as plush as the first pair I purchased. Overall, I love these boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caused heel blister I did a lot of research before buying these shoes. I have only done a small hike in them to break them in (5 miles). They caused a pretty bad blister on one heel and the start of a blister on the other heel. I've never had this issue with a quality pair of shoes before. I'm disappointed that these don't work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking boot EVER! I don't know about low or high arch because I have Sesamoiditis and Plantar fasciitis so I have an orthodic insert. I'm 64 and hike 10-16 miles per day when in a long distance trek for 10-14 days at a time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LIKE WALKING ON AIR !!!!! My first pair was a gift from my daughter. I am 70 . I damaged tendons in my ankles two years ago. I thought i may never be able to be agile again. Without these shoes I do not know what I would have done. Last month I walked all over Eastern Europe many miles each day with no discomfort. I can run and bounce up and downstairs with them. I wear them all the time! At work, I am on my feet all day and still feel like I am walking on a cloud! I LOVE MY HOKA's. Thank you for making such a comfortable shoe with terrific ankle support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works This was my first introduction to HOKA. Purchased these boots for a trek to Everest Base Camp last Dec (their winter) and I never had cold feet even when all my friends with other expensive brands did. Stable and comfortable for walking up and down hills, covered 182km in 12 days and never had sore feet or legs. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe has extended my hiking life. Last year I wore the Tor Ultra for the 300 miles of the Pennine Way in England. Although it rained nearly everyday, I never had a blister or suffered foot discomfort thanks to these shoes. This year I'm headed to Tibet for three weeks of high-altitude trekking in the Himalayas and the Tor Ultra is my boot of choice again. Great stability, sticky soles and the oh-so-comfortable padding keep this gal hiking! Note: I run in HOKA and used Tor Mids for a shorter hike from Bologna to Florence (and a desert marathon this year).

Does anyone know if these boots are narrow? I bought a pair of Tor Speed 2 and they pinch my toes. I have been wearing their Bondi 5 and they are wider and fit perfect. So trying to find a boot that is the same?

Asked by: JaneR
Hey, Jane! I have not had much feedback in regards to these being narrow or lower volume in the toe box. One of the cool features is the down-to-the-toe lacing system for complete customization on these. You can have the laces loose at the toe box and then tighter at the ankles in case you get any swelling. If you consider yourself a standard D width, the shoes should fit you fine. If you are wider than D, you might want to consider going up half a size to help compensate for extra width. Hope that helps!

I heard these run a full size small. Is this true in your experience? Do you suggest ordering a full size smaller, or half a size?

Asked by: pbskid
Hiya pbskid, thanks for your question! My office friend, Dotty, tried this shoe on and found that it runs true-to-size. A half size larger than her normal size would have been too big. Hope this helps!
